I would like to give my opinion, but I couldn't stand listening to his blabber long enough to figure out what was going on...
I don't know what it is about Pat but he and his friend kinda get on my nerves.

Can't say it surprises me all that much. That said, I can't watch pat videos. That dude on the left just makes me want to punch him every time.

A synopsis of it is "A shipping box of 6 very rare, brand new Stadium Events NES games has been confirmed to exist in a game collection. The guy who owns the box was tired of people cornering the market and raising prices to ridiculous prices, Games should not be a Investment rather something you enjoy to collect, so anyway this guy was threatened by the guy who was forcing the game prices going up and said to him basically if you put those on the market I will ruin you, so he made a post on the NintendoAge forums to prove that he legit had a shipping box of Stadium Events, People vouched for him because the guy with the box is a respected collector who collects shipping boxes of games and is what they call the Gen 1 Collector (early 90's) so he would of probably of got them when a store was getting rid of old stock, he also has sealed shipping boxes of other rare titles but he collects for fun rather then to show off, thats why he hasnt shown them off before"

Ok so express my feelings about that, the dude that owns them can do whatever he wants with them, but it kind of sounds stupid to state that there shouldn't be a value placed on items to collect. Otherwise what's the point of collecting something?
If he wants to sell them for $50 a pop that's on him, but I'll tell you right now that if collecting games shouldn't hold value, most of us wouldn't collect them. I collect because I enjoy playing the games I do collect AND because they have a value on them. I wouldn't collect them if they didn't have a value.
Then the other guy that says he would ruin the collector if he ever put them in the market is a moronic ass hat. Simple as that. If he put his case on the market, the price would NOT substantially decrease. People would still want them for collectible "value" o them.
Example: Corvettes are worth more than thier weight in produced iron. But there aren't as many out there as people like to think there are. To every parking lot that has a Vette in it, there is prolly 10-20 Chevy Impalas there. So rarity adds value. Well around 10 years ago or so, there was a warehouse with around 100 Vettes in it. Did that bring down the price value of the Vette? Absolutely not.
For anyone to threaten someone else over anything than trying to protect someone's well being is just a pussy.
I personally have been collecting games since I was around 5 years old, more specifically, since 1991. Back then it was hard to do that because I was so young. But all the new games I got I always kept the box, even when I found used games with the box I kept those too, just because I felt they had a value. So luckily I was a smart early 90's collector.
Sadly, when I was getting a divorce, I think she threw away about 1/3 of my boxes because I lost about 1/4 of my NES boxes, just a couple SNES boxes, and all of my Gameboy and Game Gear boxes...
