Not to mention getting older = less energy in general :-\ --- End quote --- It's not the age for me, it's the mileage. Children, health, and long hours at work takes its toll on you draining you of vital energy to do the things you like. |

I go through waves of getting burnt out. Like many others, I have many hobbies and I generally just fluctuate my time from one to another. This isn't always a perfect formula as there is a great deal of overlap with some of my hobbies (game collecting, fixing/cleaning consoles, reproductions, cover making). I am a huge football fan and usually during the offseason I am able to dedicate my time towards other ventures. Perhaps because the Broncos won the Superbowl I am having difficulties shifting my focus. I'll take it though, no complaints, Go Broncos! As every year passes I find myself less and less interested in actually playing games. I love learning about games and the history behind it and absolutely love collecting. I don't really find great joy in actually playing the majority of games though. Don't get me wrong, I do like games I just don't find myself having the desire to come home after work and fire up a system. This likely has to do with my profession (I sell video games for a living). If you spend every second of your workday talking about something it is offputting to come home and do the same thing. I am far more interested in restoring or making a cover for a game than actually playing it (weird right?). |

I have made covers for games that I have no desire to ever play but I wanted a cover for it, Shaq Fu is one that comes to mind. |

Same here. Would way rather fix something or modify a piece of hardware than sit and play a game 99 times out of 100. |
