Awesome.  How many neo geo carts do you have now?

At the moment I'm standing at 92 mixed region games. I was really happy to finally get some of the last fighters I was missing and another boxed console (not pictured) from a fellow german collector who was getting out of the collecting business. Kinda difficult to get AES stuff nowadays especially with the price insanity and conversions galore on some titles.

Only twelve real retail titles still on my wish list and 4 special ones (3 !ARCADE! MVS conversion HQ releases and Last Hope non-pink bullets NGDEV).

@segamer: I know what you mean. Those 8 games plus the boxed system set me back 1700 Euro. Still in todays market I really can't complain.
2 + 3 = 23

I've been looking for a Super CD ROM attachment for my Core Grafx for a while and finally decided to get a Duo R instead after finding a deal I couldn't pass up. The deal included an Arcade card, Avenue Pad 6, Core Grafx pad, multi tap, and component mod. I may end up selling my Core Grafx to help offset this purchase, but that is undecided yet.  I need to see what those even sell for right now.

Outside of an AES, this was by for the most mainstream system missing from my collection and I'm really happy to finally add one.

Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

What am I looking at? It looks like a Turbo Graffx 16 and a 3DO combined.
I've never seen one of these and is quite interesting to me. Pretty cool but what's special about it?
What are you looking at? You think baby's don't like video games? THEN YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT BABIES!!

 ???
you can come to expect this sort of sterility from me, no images, other that what can be scanned, wrapped in a code board tag, and no passion, a distraction to the objective:
1, where the wild things are [wii]
2, blazing angels - squadrons of WWII [wii]
3, red steel 2 [wii]
4, trauma center - new blood [wii]
5, cursed mountain [wii]
6, sengoku basara - samurai heroes [wii]
7, god of war 3 [ps3]
8, god of war collection/HD remaster [ps3]
9, eat lead [ps3]
...
10, a third-party wii baton and nunchuck, magenta coloured, came as a matching pair, uses two aaa cells. (A-Power is the manufacturer)
11, an official black baton. (RVL-003)
12, a 500g sata harddisk, needed to back up my upload seeds.
...
so far, pretty good for ten gbp all-in, harddisk was given as a freebie, shop staff couldn't account for integrity and was going to whizz it in the bin.
fuck that i said, and they happily gave it me, claimed it saved on disposal costs. (legally, they can't take chances. if data items aren't handled on the spot and verified for user integrity, they're destroyed as a matter of course, and to protect slack-ass customers from data theft if they didn't properly shred (low-level) format the harddisk before letting it go.
result! ;D

Nice pickup.

Is that a PSone AC adapter?  I wouldn't have guessed that it was compatible. Pretty cool if so :)

Awesome pickup TDiRunner - a DuoR is on my list too - they are always so damn expensive when they come up.  That one looks in great condition too - and those Avenue pads are generally pretty pricey too.  Very jealous!

@palmer6strings
It’s an NEC PC Engine Duo R.  In the US, the Turbo Duo was the combination of the TurboGrafx-16 and Turbo CD.  Japan’s equivalent was the PC Engine Duo.  Afterwards, they released revised models.  The Duo R (which is what I have pictured above) and the Duo RX.  The US did not get any revised models beyond the Duo.  In theory, the Duo R and RX are a little more durable than previous models.  The Duos also have the most recent BIOS built in allowing CD ROM2 and Super CD ROM2 games to be played.  With the Arcade Card Duo included, this allows me to play ALL CDs from all regions.  While it only plays Japanese Hu Cards, my Turbo Everdrive will allow me to play US Hu Card games.  Basically, the only TG16/PCE games that I CAN’T play are Super Grafx games (only 4 total) and LD ROM2 games (can only be played on a LaserActive.

@Wiggy,

Yes, you are right.  It works, although I have had a few issues where I have to fiddle with the power cord on the back of the unit to make it work.  So I’m thinking that I want to find an original power source just to be safe.  I’m currently speaking with the seller to see if he thinks I should be concerned about that.  If anyone else has a suggestion or a good source for an original power supply, please let me know.  The Power supply from my Core Grafx is not compatible as far as I can tell.

@sheep,

Thanks.  Like I said, it was a good deal that I couldn’t pass up………..but, unfortunately, that doesn’t mean it was super cheap either. But as long as I’m safe with my power supply, I’m completely happy with my purchase.

As long as it has the proper voltage output, then you're not in any danger of harming it (and even then, you're more likely to blow a fuse before any real damage occurs).  The only other thing you need to look at is the amperage output. You just want it to at least match the original, and anything more won't harm it. It'll only use what it needs.

If you know all of this already, then please ignore me :P

edit: I think I found your problem. You aren't getting the proper voltage :(

So my Pokemon 2DS collection is complete now. Very excited to put them on their stands and have nowhere to place them in my cave lol!

OK, so I guess it's not a PSOne power supply now that I'm looking at it closely.  It's a Sony AC-CDR51 with 10v and 1500mA.  I am aware of matching up the voltage and amperage, although it was my understanding that a 10v should work properly with a Duo R, but perhaps I shouldn't be taking the risk.

Yeah, I'd try and find something that more closely matches the original (voltage-wise) :(

March pickups

Some of the games still need to be cleaned up. (that bust a move 99 is pretty gnarly)  Aeon Flux was free from a friend for helping him move a couch. (I think I got the worse end of that deal)

At some point, someone likely paid full retail for that title.  Should probably pour one out for that poor unfortunate soul.
