March 2016 hauls ( & the Month Oversight gets older)
TDIRunner:
That's pretty cool. Not sure if I've ever seen one before.
So, NES in the front and Famicom on the top?
Does the controller have a microphone for some Famicom games? Normally, I wouldn't expect a clone to have that, but it sounds like this might be a higher quality clone, so I was curious.
Tmac2200:
I got this plus a copy of Mario Sunshine and Lord of the Rings: the Two Towers on PS2 at a garage sale for $3 each. I flipped the copy of Sunshine for $30 later that day, so it is like I got Lunar for free. 8)

Unfortunately, the controller does NOT have a microphone. Those things in the middle (where start would normally be) are the turbo and slow buttons. They're sensors instead of buttons...because why not? Start and select are the black buttons above B and A. It also has shoulder buttons which double for B and A, so you can potentially play something like Life Force one handed.
The system is OK. I wanted it more for its aesthetic value and nostaliga than anything else. It was made in 2005, so it is limited in all the ways other clones were at that time (no Castlevania 3, some games have color or sound issues, etc).
That said, this thing looks great and I have been using it for my Everdrive. So I am fairly happy with it.

Super stoked to play :)

I've irdered tons of stuff from them. Donors, N64 stuff when I was building the full set, and so on. They've always treated me well when I've had the VERY rare instance of a problem.

I've ordered a lot of stuff from them also, as well as several other vendors that sell online. I've been relegated to purchasing more online because the local shops that I go to have gone out of business. :'(
However I do find that I am able to find some of the games and accessories from one of the online vendors and I am able to compare prices before I make purchase from them.

I picked these items up off of craigslist today for $110...
A Generation Nex NES clone from 2005 with original controller and all original cables. I have never seen one of these in the flesh, but I remember wanting one a long time ago due to the ability to play both NES and Famicom games. It's also compatible with the Famicom disc system. What I really like about this is it feels (and looks) like it's made from a similar (if not the same) plastic as the NES. If the fat NES toaster got super in to going to the gym, this is what I feel it would look like.
A bunch of games came with it as well!
Metroid, Ninja Gaiden, Ghostbusters II, Maniac Mansion, Arch Rivals, Skate or Die, Bionic Commando, Paperboy, Q*Bert and T&C Surf Designs.
Some of these are doubles for me that I will probably sell to recoup some of my money, but all in all I am quite happy with this pick up. :D

How can you play FDS games on it? Do you need an add-on to read the floppies? I always wanted to try out the original Metroid on FDS.
