I'm not walking away from anything. You tried to argue with me last year and back then you also referenced your career to lend yourself credibility. You're regurgitating the same stuff. Is that what you do in your day to day life every time you get into it with someone? "I'm a behavior health therapist from San Diego, blah, blah..." Get some new material already; you sound stale. I know you're probably hovering over your keyboard right now, breathing heavily and clicking refresh, but I have stuff to take care of so I can't respond as quickly. --- End quote --- I bring up my credentials not to brag or showboat (it's not something that brings in the money, if that's what you think). I do it because I have credibility. I'm not some guy with an opinion and a google search bar. You presented BS facts, and I called you out on it. Now instead of admitting you got overzealous with your opinion, or offering actual facts/information on the subject, you attack my character. Which means you have little or nothing to actually back up anything you say. And the only reason I actually continue on with this, is because I find it funny to hear what others have to say when they're angry. --- End quote --- You haven't presented any facts or information other than the fact that guns are already getting across the border and that there's a difference between partial and total disarmament. I don't feel any comfort over that information with regard to a potential gun ban (I don't care if it's partial, that's only a precursor to total disarmament). |

TWICE just with me. Also, last year YOU attacked MY character claiming I probably made less than $20 per hour and wasn't nearly as educated as you on whatever topic you're on about. Now that you're called out on it you feign the victim of character attack and cop out an excuse of talking shit because you enjoy getting a rise out of people. |

I think you have selective memory...but just in case, here is a link to the previous discussion... http://www.thecoverproject.net/forums/index.php?topic=18235.msg163930#msg163930 We were arguing our opinions, you made your points, and I made mine. (Thanks for the memories, BTW. I had fun scrolling through a bunch of old posts-no sarcasm implied). This topic, you stated the cartels would be an issue, when there is zero evidence to back that up. Period. You can harp on me all you want, but it doesn't change the fact that you were wrong. |

This seems like an obvious problem. I'm not sure I understand your argument. |

So this whole topic has been tl;dr for me, but to jump in the fire. . . I personally prefer non lethal options, the ability to be judge, jury, and executioner all in the motion it takes to use a laser pointer (point and shoot) seems wrong, there are reasons courts and jury exist. So tasers, pepper spray, metal bats, whatever. So if a mistake is made, it's not fatal. Whatever force can subdue a threat versa make it not a living thing anymore. I think with whatever amendment 'bare arms' is in, times have changed from when it was written to modern day, also the needs of defense are different depending on how populated your area is/ safe overall. I think owning a gun should be like owning a car, getting a license you have to take a test and learn proper gun safety, cleaning it, how to handle one in the house with young kids. A gun n the hands of a responsible, rational adult is fine, but not everyone is. Look at all the public shootings, and stuff like the Trevar Martin case. People are stupid and irrational, and owning a gun is a BIG responsibility. I do think the world would be a better place without guns, but the world is not a perfect place, The world sucks. :P |
