I like this idea. We should keep it up for large milestones.  One user (volunteer) can send another a random game they do not have.  I am talking like the thousand mark.  Not hundreds or anything.

I like the idea, but I'm somewhere between 1,300 and 1,400 and my buying has really slowed down, so it will take me a while to get to 2,000.

Here are my rules:
  I don't count doubles or duplicates.
  However, I do include variants.
  I don't count digital download games.
  I don't count downloaded ROMs or ISOs.
  I don't count built in games (like Snail Maze on SMS or the 25 20 built in games on the Neo Geo X)
  I don't count demos.
  If two or more games were released on one disc or cart, I count that as ONE game.

I don't think my neo geo X has 25 games built in.  I do count the mega pack for it as 1 game.

Maybe it's 20, I can't remember.  It also came with one extra game on an SD card.  I DO count this as one of my games.  If I ever bought the Mega Pack, I would count that as one game also.  However, if I bought the individual volumes (5 volumes with 3 games each), I would count each volume as one game.

It was 20 built in games.  But like I said, I don't count any of those.  Just the Ninja Master's game that came on a physical card.

I don't count variants, but I do count if game is released on multiple consoles.
Like:
- I have 2 variant label Metroids on NES. I do catalog both but count as one game.
- I have Twilight Princess on GameCube, Wii and WiiU. Those I count as separates.

Some multicarts I don't count some I do.

truth be told, it's the recorded ACCURATE results i count. (ripped xenoblade chronicles correctly and uploaded it, nearly fucked my BW doing it, at least the users appreciate my efforts.)
actual shelf fillers for a preliminary count, a mere formality, and the real count begins at EACH dump added and catalogued. (from my retails.)
i can't count how many games a i have as data from my own disks, i haven't even started on outside sources yet, and they WILL be tallied up into the total when i get around to it.\
scored sin and punishment, guilty gear XX, and trauma center-second opinion, gonna have to biz em, and share.

I almost forgot about e-Reader.

I count e-Reader games, but not e-Reader add-on content.  So I count each 5 card set of the original NES games as one game each, but I do not count any of the Super Mario Advance 4 e-Reader cards as a game since it was all basically DLC for that game.  I also don't count any of the animal Crossing e-Reader cards as games since they were also basically DLC.

I am right with these two posts.  Also I am all for a new thread.  But lets ether the mods or as a community come up with some good ground rules.
