In a fit of drunken... whatever. I had an N-Gage case (the Sims) sitting open on my desk, and I was playing on my Game Gear, so I set my copy of The Lion King (Amazing music!) down in it. Turns out the case is perfect thickness and holds them really well. And with the length you could do them up in a "Vertical UGC" style if you want or something like the SMS/GG "Grid" with horizontal artwork.

I can't take pictures right now because I misplaced the charger for my camera. But if anyone would like to try it out and chime in, it'd be welcome!

N-gage cases are great for lots of things, problem is finding empty ones.  I've never come across any.  :(

I was sort of thinking that as well.

It's a great idea if you can find them.  I ended up modifying Shadowfox's Game Boy cases to fit Game Gear.  The modification was super easy and since I don't have many GG games (and don't plan on buying much more), the modification work was no bid deal.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

Do Vita cases (Modded) fit completely or do they bulge?

I don't have one in front of me, but I'm 99.99% sure that GG would not fit in a Vita case.

Nope - don't close.

I'm holding out for shadow fox to make a gg case - in the meantime they are in EU NDS cases.

the image, very BRUTAL  >:( but effective.  :D
as for above, i do have a handful of translucent clear PAL-EUR nds cases, actually with manuals and covers, but no games.
was given them or would be binned, thought, why not keep em?!
megadrive cases i have a good few of, if there was a local way to give em out, i would, just not shipping...hand over at a public space.
gonna have to dig out my gg, it's redundant as fuck, given the MED allows for ms rom passthrough/playback. (pause for ms games is in the top of the cartridge, pad start button is hardware negated.)
a good idea using nds cases for gg gartriges.
if only i had the actual covers/boxes to the few games i do have for the gg, most of the cartridges came with the small case for it, not manual or cover will go there. (sort of a giant sd card case, not getting much more than that in there.)
hmm?!
i can see nds cases being good for gg materials all-round, good call.  ;D
[edit]
typo.

Don't worry, I'm actually getting the mold prices for Game Gear cases this week.  ;) They should be out in 3-4 months.

Will they be tall enough to hold the manuals?

Are you serious? This is a great news, I am really looking forward for the game gear case and famicom case. I've found some famicom cases on ebay, if you need some samples, let me know because I've just bought some.

Yes, I am more than likely going with a slightly thicker SEGA Card-type case. (The dimension height and depths are the same as the SEGA Genesis and Master System cases, making them easy to conform to other SEGA type cases)

These cases will be able to house Standard Game Gear carts as well as Codemaster carts. I am also going to be including a slot above the Game gear clips that will hold the SEGA Cards as well. (Making these cases essentially SEGA Card replacement cases... but they will be slightly (2MM or so) thicker than the original SEGA Card cases.)

Both the SEGA Card AND Game Gear booklets are identical in size! Making a combo case even a nicer idea.

SHADOWFOX QUESTION: For the instruction booklet side of the case should we go original booklet clips like the authentic Genesis cases and SEGA Card cases have. (Where you have this tab on top and bottom with holding plastic close to the spine keeping the booklet in place) or should I go with a booklet clip idea, much like the NES/ Gameboy cases, but give the clips a SEGA feel like. (I can't seem to find the photo BUT I KNOW THEY EXIST! The photo is kicking around here on TCP somewhere!)

I'm thinking of launching both the black and Purple/pink color cases. But this is all in the air at the moment since I'm focusing on the SNES/SFC and N64 cases right now.

That's why I'm here. ;)

Yes please! I wasn't aware that there was a Famicom case out there! (Besides taking a Genesis case and making one)
My "idea" was to give each family of game consoles their own feel. Like the NES, N64, SNES cases will all be the same sized cases. (And my thoughts are to do the same with the Famicom, since it's Nintendo) and as most people know, these cases look very similar to DS and Gameboy cases, with the rounded edges, identical booklet clips and oval opening on the cases. Keeping them together in appearance.
Since SEGA already has 2,4 game cases out there for other consoles I want my cases for SEGA to conform with the existing feel.

SHADOWFOX QUESTION 2: All the SEGA cart cases will be easy, but! Sega also came out with the SEGA CD... then went funny/ boring on the Dreamcast cases. I'M NOT HERE YET! But... for Dreamcast should I:
a) Create a SEGA CD type case but instead of clear plastic use a transparent Orange plastic?
b.) Create almost like an xBox 360 gamecase but with transparent Orange instead of the green.
c.) Create a game case that would conform with all the other SEGA cart cases (excluding the SEGA CD)

Keep in mind I plan on creating SEGA CD cases regardless of anyones answers to the above question.  ;)

Personally, I don't like the way that Sega cases hold the manuals.  They never felt very secure to me.  With that said, I understand why you went with the traditional manual clips on your Sega cases since you wanted to have an authentic feel.  However, since the Game Gear/Sega Card cases are not based on an existing Sega case, I would go with the booklet clip idea.
