Im planning on getting a PSP soon, I don't know what games I night want for it.  The Types I enjoy the most are games like:
Kingdom Hearts, Dynasty Warriors, YS, Naruto: RoaN, Secret/Legend/Children of Mana

Though I enjoy the Final Fantasy Franchise I feel I have drifted away from the Turn Based genre and seem to like more action RPGs

Anybody got any good suggestions for me?
(Please keep in mind I am not one to go buy games BRAND new for 40-60 bucks)

God of War Chains of Olympus is an absolute must, its so awesome.

I would pass on the first Dynasty Warriors for the PSP, its just a port.
its still in 3/4 ratio w/ a map next to the screen to make up the difference.

I agree with Shenske.  God of War was amazing for PSP.  Crisis Core and Monster Hunter Freedom are two action RPG's which come to mind and are both solid games.

The rest of the RPG's are pretty much turn-based off the top of my head. If you're getting a PSP, I'd still suggest Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles and Mega Man X Maverick Hunter if you enjoy platformers at all.

If you're looking for action RPGs, I reccomend Star Ocean 1 and 2, and if you're willing to import from Europe, Tales of Eternia. There's also Gurumin, which is a fun little action game with some RPG elements.

If you enjoy platformers, definitely pick up Mega Man: Powered Up!, Mega Man: Maverick Hunter X and Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles. And if you like shmups, Gradius Collection is a must.

Nice. I was looking at the Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core and was worried I wouldn't play it. But then XanderBoy said it was Action/RPG... I looked at the videos, I will DEFINATELY be getting that one, and probably the 2 Star Ocean Games

I won't buy import though, First Departure came out last month, and Second Evolution comes out the end of January.

I have the first God Of War for PS2, I liked It until the Puzzles came into play.
(Same With PS3s Heavenly swords Shooting Sequences)

One other thing about the PSP.  I have a Decent Collection of PS1 Games... I wouldn't mind playing them on the go. Is there any way of using them on the PSP (through PC conversion?) WITHOUT the possibility of "Bricking" the unit.

Thank you everyone for the advice thus far!

Thank you for the recommendation of Gurumin Conn, I checked out some screen shots and videos on Gamefly and then I purchased it on Half.com for $10.41 Brand New (Including Shipping)

(Also Bought a memory stick for 10 bucks)

It'll Probably still be about a Month before I get a PSP though

YS is a great, but I already have it for PS2....my Dad needs to get it back to me...

I wouldn't mind the Final Fantasy games, but, I already have FF II (SNES) FF Origins (PS1) and FF Dawn Of Souls (GBA).

I don't know if I could buy another version of the SAME game for a 4th time.
 (unless the price was good)

Seeing as how FF II (US) for the SNES is really FF IV, and that the PSP versions of FF I&II look so much better and have had the story fleshed out even more I'd pick them up when they hit $15 each.

Thank you all for your suggestions! My wife JUST purchased me a new PSP 2000 and now i want to keep my new toy all shiny and nice looking.

  What cases/shells does everyone recommend?
I would like one like my wife's DS, one I can use the system in without complicating game play.

As for games, I have purchased Gurumin, and plan to purchase FFVII:CC, Ys:AoN, Star Ocean, and Im sure a few more

Once again, thank you everyone so far, and thank you in advance for the information to come

I use the Invisible shield on my GoW Red PSP. ITs the same stuff they put on helicopter blades.

The orginal is at http://www.zagg.com/

There is a less expensive version at http://www.bestskinsever.com/
