I totally plan to buy PlayStation VR. I think the biggest hurdle is interacting with real world objects, and of course, walking or moving in the game. The 1st isn't as big an issue with the technology we have today. Think of a '3 dimensional green screen'. My biggest hope is that it looks/feels immersive, with 3 dimensional viewing when looking through the headpiece instead of simply a high resolution tv inches in front of your face. 3 dimensional could be either done by a multi layer embedded display, or by focused 3D for each eye. I feel that the best VR we will experience in this upcoming generation will be mechs or driving; something that you sit down in and don't have to physically move around a world. |

There won't be enough quality software to support it to where it will be truly relevant. |

Cockpits and fixed positions seem to work best for VR, at least in the short demos that most people have gotten. I talked to some people who tried RIGS (it's a first-person shooter that has you in these high-speed mechs with jetpacks), and they pretty much all reported being motion-sick st first, but that it went away. So it may just be a matter of getting used to it. |
