I was disappointed when Han died, but it was for the love of his son. Wanting him to come back home with him and Leia. Kinda lazy... yes. But also sorta fitting.
I hated that the re used the "Death Star" idea... Having to find Luke though is understandable. Last Jedi and all.

I guess I'm more accepting of the movie and really really like it just because I've been a huge fan ever since my mom put the video tapes in the vcr when I was a kid.

Einhander, why do you speak? You do realize that nobody likes you or your stupid ass opinions right? I bet you jerk off on your phone since you love it so much. You're making it very hard for people to enjoy shit.

Can someone just block him and any other person that signs up with his used IP's?

Fitting for the story? So u been a long time Star Wars fans and don't find it pathetic that after all these years Ford comes back on scene and goes out like a coward? Who do you have left to follow?

You came into a star wars topic to say you hate Star Wars nerds, and bring up fucking smart phones again.  I'm 100% sure you are a sad little troll, possibly with some sort of psychological problem.  At the moment, some other admins are cutting you some slack, but one more and I'll just do it myself.

Actually I don't hate Star Wars nerds. I was just a little annoyed after the film how I wasted 2 hours and didn't get much out of the film. I think Han Solo death was lazy. I just had to bring up smartphones because it was bugging me, it was on my mind and I just had to vent I guess. Don't kick me out, I feel like you understand where I'm coming from. I need a community.

Then here is your answer, Respect the community. Quit being an self centered ass. And simply just stop most of what you are doing honestly. You're "opinions" and yes they ARE opinions because only you feel that way. I don't feel that way, I won't feel that way. You trying to tell me it's dumb and that I shouldn't like something because you don't without any real definitive reasons is plain moronic.

Han Solo's death cowardly? It more brave that he stood in front of his son hoping to bring him home. So not cowardly. Lazy story writing? Maybe, it could have been written better but that's besides the fact that it's a whole different company making the film and I think there is millions of people that think that Disney did a good job. Since we all know that George Lucas totally dropped the ball on 1, 2, and 3.

You can say how much you didn't like the movie, and that's it. Done.

What do you mean Lucas dropped the ball on 1, 2, and 3? He created the franchise. Why couldn't he have wrote this?

It just felt really awkward to have a Star Wars sequel come back after decades and see Solo dying so abruptly. What I mean by that is I didn't think he did anything good in the movie. He seemed uncharismatic and then off he was. He should have been a little smarter than to think that he could just talk his son out of it. That's a bit naive. If the force is with him, then he should have known better. We waited all this time just to see that. The original Han Solo would never go out like that. It ruined his legacy IMO.

I also think the films a bit overrated. Nice popcorn movie but nothing more.

The big boss villain looks like a big cgi version of Yoda...

Mr. Ford looks so strained in his reprise role as Han Solo and his story arc seems like he said to the writers "Only one film!".

Leia *ugh* don't even get me started. The looks are gone and she never was a good actor to begin with. At least she only has a few sentences.

What I hate the most about the movie though was the shitty political correctness Disney always applies. The main role needs to be a women, the main
side role needs to be a black guy.... *ugh*

Maybe I was a bit dissapointed that the movie was pretty much a rehash of A New Hope. As a Star Wars film I'd give it a 5/10, as a popcorn movie 7/10.
2 + 3 = 23

Why does having a female and black lead instantly send you right to "ugh, political correctness"?

I honestly felt it rather refreshing, especially after the abysmal 1-3 trilogy.  Just a mass of monotone white guys running around the whole time.

Color or gender does not matter.

The (female) lead of the movie was OK.

As would be black lead or sidekick, but in this case the black actor felt shoehorned in pointless crap.
He was just there and did really nothing.
If he would have been white he would have been nothing, but as he was kinda advertised as the first black Stormtrooper and lead (maybe as a red herring), and then actually did not anything meaningful, he kinda felt like "Hi, I'm black, deal with it" and thus even less anything.

Hope that made any sense.
