I could have gone to see the movie today but just could not bother to wake up early enough, and rest of the day goes at work.
I'll go on Saturday possibly.

Local older cinema has 4 showings today... and newer has 9!!!

I unfortunately won't have time to see it until new years (the retail life). I'm going to try and stay as spoiler free as possible.

I definitely plan to see it, but I refuse to wait in line, camp out or watch a movie at midnight, so I will most likely wait until January to see it.  I prefer to stay away from spoilers, so I will probably ignore this thread until I see it.

I'm not expecting anything fantastic, but I hope it's enjoyable.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

Waiting to see where I can see it in English, without it being dubbed into French.  I don't mind subs, but dubs do my head in!

Yeah I hate dubbing (on kid films it's OK).
Just head to here Finland.
Non-kid films are in original language. (=Star Wars is in English... as much it is).

There's a new Star Wars? I knew nothing about this. 8)

I'm set to see it in IMAX on Friday and at the balcony at our theater's grand auditorium on Saturday.

I really think Chewie is going to die.  I think it'll fit with the story well and allow another possible Wookie be in the series.  It would also be a good way to explain the 'life debt' that Chewie owes to Han.

Was just reading:

Chewbacca was co-acted by Finnish basketball player Joonas Suotamo and that Finnish woman Sara Forsberg invented alien language for the movie... 8)

My wife went to see it today by herself (I was at work).  She enjoyed it and has always been a Star Wars fan really.  We may go see it this weekend together.

Welp, I just walked in to see if it was good, great for hitting me with thatWiggy. I guess I was warned.

On my front I'm finally getting around to seeing the original movies. I just saw the first one (Part 4?). I found online a thing called the "Unspecialized edition" where fans made an HD version and they removed all the special edition crap using various sources.

It was hard to put into words seeing the first one, because it was 'spoiled' by just about everything. I already knew the entire story, I know Vaders is father, I knew Obi died, Leah is Lukes sister somehow, I've seen every scene in some form though parody and references in shows I've watched throughout my life. I still liked it, but it did not engage me too much due to me knowing everything that happened already.

Luckily I know less about the sequels, I think.
