So aside from making video game covers and cheesy parody fanfilms and webseries, one of my other hobbies is putting together music suites on YouTube (there I'm known as Tyrannicus). I enjoy a lot of music from TV shows and movies, but I don't have any experience or training in composing or arranging music, so I've kind of gotten into making medleys of the music enjoy - the kind of thing I'd want to hear performed by an orchestra, only usually a lot longer. I guess it's a side-effect of doing a lot of video editing.
If you like orchestral music, you might enjoy some of these, so I thought I'd share them with you guys.
I'll start with the most recent one, which I just posted today. It's a medley of music from several of the TV shows I enjoyed watching last season.
Mewtwo's Theme was my first suite. Power Rangers the Movie was a pure nostalgia one. Ages of Arda was my attempt to present music representing all the events that precede the main narrative of The Hobbit, from all 6 Lord of the Rings and Hobbit films.
The biggest series is my Star Trek Mega Suite project. It's the crazy idea of sampling music from ALL of Star Trek (all 5 live-action series and soon-to-be 13 films) and presenting them in chronological order - First Contact, Enterprise, The Original Series, and so on. Suites 6 and 8 aren't released yet. I've also started a few that a medleys of themes for different races - so far the Klingons - with a Vulcan one on the way.
