Destiny: The Taken King

My friend is going to start playing Destiny again and if i want to join in. I am going to need a copy. 

now my question.  If I get the game on ebay I can save a few bucks. However I suspect most of the sealed copies are from the PS4 sets. If this game came pre-installed the sealed discs people are selling maybe nothing more than expensive coasters. Is this true? Is it safe to buy one of these?

You can tell the retail version apart from the PS4 Pack-in Version. As it states not for resell on the back in place of the barcode.

I'm going to warn you. Don't buy it used. The retail copy of Destiny: Taken King is Destiny Year 1 on the disc and codes for Take King. So, either buy it new or digitally.

Here is what I am talking about.  Its still sealed but came out of the PS4 bundle. So does it have the codes in there. Or were they pre-installed on the Ps4 it came with?

The codes/DLC have to be attached to your profile. So, it wouldn't be pre-installed on the PS4. As long as it's a factory sealed copy of The Take King, you should be ok.

I went with one that the seller said bought it for a friend and the friend already bought it.  It also had a barcode in the pic.  So I think I am safe.

The PS4 pack-in version should also include codes for a few new emotes, and those aren't available any other way.
