ps3 cannot copy data from disc
alexenochs:
the title says it all i have borderlands 1 the game is flawless on the bottom but it refuses to get all the data off the disc it first stopped at 8% i found a finger smudge on the disc and wiped that off now it stops at 45% and there is a slight smudge on the disc but i cant seem to do anything to make everybit of it go away however it cannot possibly be to much to keep it from copying data i know that blurays store the data on the bottom of the disc but could this really be that bad? i take extremely good care of my games and it was actually bought pre owned last month at a yardsale alot with a few other games including 2 that also require data to go on the hdd which i havent tested yet (skyrim and fallout 3 Goty) could someone tell me if they have a simular issue? id really like to hear about it its pretty upsetting that i cant play it as ive beaten no. 2 but barely had any hands on with the first one
wiggy:
It's entirely possible that a small smudge/scuff could cause read errors. Is it something on the surface, or is it a scratch/scuff?
alexenochs:
well it seems like it might be oil based what would be something to get it off its smudging all over the disc what do you use to clean your discs in general wiggy? i know your definitely one person id want advice from
monjici:
My kids put their greasy fingers on all their DVDs. I use simple dish soap to clean them, then rinse througly. Works all the time.
alexenochs:
yes but what do you use to wipe it off almost anything and everything scratches a disc
