I got it for the mangled mess that was Halo Master Chief Collection and Halo 5.  MCC was such a disappointing mess and Halo 5 never felt right... never even played the single player :-\

Never really considered myself a FPS bro but I did love Halo and had a lot of fun with it the previous generations so even though I had a PS4 at launch, I got a Xbone not long after it came out to play these.

I also own a Xbox One and the only thing I have used it for in years is the Showtime Anytime app and that's only because it's not on PS4... Seriously, one of the biggest wastes of money I've ever spent in gaming.  If you love it, that's great for you, but as someone that owns all the current gen systems, it's a giant paperweight.

It's funny, because I feel the same way about my PS4.  I bought it for the hype, have PT on it.  But it just sits there.  Since I care little for indie games, the PS4 has almost no appeal outside of a very small handful of titles.  That said, Spider-Man is my most anticipated game of the year, so fingers crossed.

If you got either of these titles for just multiplayer they were terrible disappointments.  If you're like me, and only bought them for the campaigns, they were (and still are) amazing

Found this paragraph interesting in the LRG email about Yooka-Laylee.

"Please be aware that a representative from Best Buy has approached us with interest in Yooka-Laylee. We want everyone to know now that there is a possibility of this release appearing in stores at Best Buy. Best Buy would put their order in during the same open preorder window as regular customers. Everything we produce will still be limited with no reprints planned. Any retail editions will be distinguished from the online limitedrungames.com releases with unique cover art or other features. Our goal is to be as transparent and upfront about this possibility as we can so no one feels that we are pulling the wool over their eyes."

Which console version you are talking about?
Oh Switch.

So Salt & Sanctuary from LRG for PS4 / Vita is $25 plus shipping.  Salt & Sanctuary for Switch from Amazon is $29 with free shipping for Prime members.  Switch version comes with digital soundtrack and poster/map. LRG standard release doesn't come with anything. BUT if you want to send $50 (plus shipping) to LRG, you can get a physical soundtrack and almost the same poster / map that comes with the Switch version... so $25 extra for a "special box" and physical CD......... yeah.......  Think I'll be picking it up on Switch....

rarity really doesn't mean much at this point.  I'm much more interested in getting a game physically in whatever is the best value for my money.

I'm the same way.  I still love what LRG is doing, but I'm not as interested in the collectability down the road.  Another good example was Steamword.  They offered two different Steamworld games on PS4 for $25 each, but I was able to get both games on one disc for about $30 through Amazon.  The Amazon copy may not be worth as much down the road, but that doesn't matter as much to me.  I just want the physical games.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

Nah... I've heard it's "the worse part of Golf Story" and while it looks nice, I can think of better games I can buy for $45.

That's really how I've been treating some of their releases lately.  Like I could spend $30 on this ok game that just happens to be produced in a limited quantity or I can go get something like Dead Cells for the same price or cheaper lol.

I was pretty torn on the decision.  I have no desire whatsoever to play the game, but it will certainly be a unique item in my collection so I ended up ordering it.  If I get the buyer's remorse before it arrives, I figure it shouldn't be too difficult to sell it.

Didn’t bother with the nes game.  I don’t have a real affinity with the nes, so it wasn’t too attractive to me for that price.  I did buy another world vita and ps4, even though it was ree wI th ps plus this month, along with golf story for the switch.

I skipped Another World as I have the original Sega CD release and this isn't the only physical release of Another World 20th anniversary that has been made (It got a Dreamcast release which is cooler than Vita or PS4 IMO).  I will be getting Golf Story but held off to see if there is anything else released before the pre-order window closes so I can save on shipping.

I'm guessing maybe Axiom Verge?

http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2018/10/limited_run_games_set_to_release_first_and_only_wii_u_game_lost_a_lot_of_money_making_it_happen

that's my guess.  It would make sense since Bandlands were supposed to publish it and LRG picked up the other game they dropped, Everspace.

I'm glad it's seeing the light of day but at this point (over a year delayed?) what's the point really?  I'm sure it will sell but I picked up the PS4 version a while back.
