I recently received an order for 10 of them, and the results are extremely disappointing.
Maybe I got a bad batch or something, but basically, Genesis games don't fit in them.
The inner plastic walls and clips that hold the game in place (for lack of a better term) are too small to properly hold a game.
I can only get the cartridge to fit if I use an excessive amount of force, and even then, I have to apply pressure to the whole case and use a twisting motion, similar to the kind one uses when they are trying to extract ice cubes from an ice cube tray.
Once the cartridge is in place, the plastic walls around the cartridge bulge outward, further indicating that it is too small and does not fit properly. (This does not happen on the original cases).
The little ridges located on the inside of plastic walls also appear to extend out further from the walls than the ones on original cases do. This further exacerbates the problems mentioned above and makes it even harder to get a game to fit.
On an original Sega case, I can simply slide the cartridge into position. On these cases, the cartridge frequently catches on these ridges when I try to do the same thing. I know this is a small quibble, but it raises additional concerns that those ridges could catch on a game and damage its label, which makes me even less inclined to use these to protect my games.
I wasn't expecting these to be perfect replicas of the original cases, but I was expecting them to at least be usuable without having wrestle with case each time I want to get the game out or worry that these could damage my games.
All of this is further frustrated by the fact customgamecases.com wont accept returns, so now I'm out $24.50+ shipping.
I'm not trying to dump on the guy for his efforts, but after seeing all the comments about how well these work I do feel like I was misled.
