UMC Size Change?

I was watching some random video of a guy making cases and he said the cases have changed sizes. Is this true? I have 5 from many years ago. I would rather have them all be the same size and am planning on buying a bunch more. Should i just use the new ones or is the size change unnoticeable? How does this size change affect printing?

Cases are same exact size, liner is adhered about 1mm closer to the spine on both sides.

I print as normal and shave off just a tad bit more when I cut the cover.  To be honest, I would have guessed that it was only a half a mm on each side because I don't have to cut off much more, but I've never measured it either.  I would test out a few covers before printing and cutting a large batch.
