Finished several SNES cover conversions from UGC that I'd started a while back - Batman Returns, the SNES Cleaning Kit, Indiana Jones' Greatest Adventures, Mario is Missing!, Mario's Time Machine, Pilotwings, Super Game Boy (2 color versions), the bootleg Sonic the Hedgehog game (with alternate Sonic the Hedgehog 4 title for those that want it), and the RetroPort, RetroGen, and Super Retro Advance Adapters by Retro-bit.

Added to the master folder and first post. Whew!

If I'm not mistaken, that's now all my old UGC and BitBox covers updated to ShadowFox cases, except for the SNES Controller and the Super Game Boy Commander controller covers. I don't house controllers in cases anymore, so I don't intend to convert them...unless someone will use them? I'm not even sure if those controllers would be able to fit in ShadowFox's cases without serious modification.

Finished off the Pokémon N64 collection.

Really digging the Super GameBoy covers, TF--do the SGBs actually fit in Shadowfox cases? I've got a Super GameBoy 2 myself but I haven't ordered any SNES cases yet.

The post I linked to above shows how I was able to mod a Shadowfox SNES case to fit the Super GameBoy. However. A couple posts below mine, Togs8896 shows how he modded a Shadowfox NES case for the SGB. Honestly, if you have a spare NES case, try Togs' method; I think it looks WAY better than mine does, although mine is still perfectly serviceable if you have no NES cases to spare.

@Senpai - Added all 3. Nice work! It's really great to see full game series completed in this cover style. So far I think we now have complete sets for the Donkey Kong Country/64, Mario platformer series, Pokémon and Star Fox games across NES/SNES/N64.

I went with the 2nd method Breakmanexe posted above of modifying an NES case to fit the North American Super Game Boy, and it works pretty well. I don't have a Super Game Boy 2, so I'm not 100% sure, but I would imagine the same modifications might work for that too.

EDIT: Not directly related to ShadowFox cases, but here's a look at a project I never finished. I found this while I was looking through my old photoshop files today. Back in 2016, I toyed with this as a companion cover set to this ShadowFox case template, designed for 8-disc DVD cases. The idea was to house Nintendo-related series and movies; this would be things like the Pokémon anime, Super Mario Super Show/Adventures of Super Mario Bros 3/Super Mario World/SMB The Movie, etc.

I got as far as making this mockup of Pokémon Vol. 1, which it seems would now perfectly house the Indigo League Blu Ray, First Movie Blu Ray or DVD, and Pikachu's Winter Vacation DVD.

I also found a document where I mapped out the volumes:

Pokémon Vol. 1: Indigo League, First Movie, Pikachu's Winter Vacation DVD (8/8 discs)
Pokémon Vol. 2: Orange Islands, Movie 2000, Johto Journeys (8/8 discs)
Pokémon Vol. 3: Movie 3, Johto League Champions, Mewtwo Returns, Movie 4 (8/8 discs)
Pokémon Vol. 4: Master Quest, Movie 5 (8/8 discs)
Super Mario Vol. 1: Super Show V1, Super Show V2 (8/8 discs)
Super Mario Vol. 2: Adventures of SMB 3, Super Mario World, SMB The Movie (6/8 discs)

Not sure if I'll continue to develop this, but I thought you guys might like to see it.

Wow, I haven't been here in quite a while and decided to pop in and see how this thread's been going. It's really great to see folks still working on these. The new covers look great.

I still maintain that I haven't completely abandoned this project, I just haven't had much time to make covers lately.

Anyway, great work!

Alright, so my N64 cases finally came in, and so I've started printing.

Here's the problem though; the official dimensions given for the cover are off. There's been a few discussions I've seen about proper dimensions, and Moviefan2k4's seem to be the closest--but they're not perfect either.

I went through quite a few print tests until I got where I wanted it to be, but I'm finding that the template should be about 1% smaller vertically--it extends too far out of the cover slip. Moviefan2k4's dimensions are fine height-wise, but I find them to be a bit too long.

TF, have you done any test prints yourself with this template?

I mentioned my take on this height discrepancy a while back in another thread. Basically, the covers with this height were never meant to fit perfectly behind the plastic sleeve: they were meant to fit snugly between the hard plastic borders at the top and bottom of the case. This removes the possibility of vertical slipping when the case is opened.

The width discrepancy I'll grant though: the original UGC covers were designed to account for width discrepancies in the UGCs due to shitty standards between production runs. Shadowfox's cases don't seem to share this variability: different production runs produce near identical results. If anything, I'd leave the vertical height the same (2100 pixels) and fill in the horizontal space if you feel it's necessary (I have not done this on my covers because once the case is closed and the cover bent properly it tends to stay where it's supposed to be placed horizontally).

Sorry I've been gone for a while, work has been pretty busy. @Senpai - breakmanexe is correct, this discrepancy is a holdover from the UGC days but also intentional. I believe this template was based on Shenske's dimensions once he released the first NES case covers, which I compared to my own measurements. I intentionally left it that way so it would fit snugly against the top and bottom borders on the case. It hasn't bothered me in my printing as I end up usually trimming off a bit more on the top or bottom edges than I should anyway, but if it bothers you, you can vertically shrink the covers a tad before printing.

I think I have everyone's latest covers added to the first post. I really appreciate everyone creating these great covers!  :D

Im partial to Cooler Master and Fractal myself but Ive heard good things about the Corsair cases. If youre looking for airflow have a look at the Cooler Master HAF series cases. Any preferences about aesthetics?
Wait when did we start talking about Computer cases? I thought this was about Game cases.
I am a BIG cooler Master HAF supporter. Wife bought me the big full tower HAF for christmas in 2016.

Hi, guys. Just wanted to drop in here and see the latest activity.

I think I might finally be in a position to start devoting some time to this project once again. I miss it!

I also went through and updated all the links in my posts to the covers I completed a while ago.

I hope all is well!

Hi guys, anyone out there still follow this thread?  I really like these designs, and although I don't have any experience with Photoshop, I took a shot and put a few covers of my own together.  These are my first two, and I have several more in process.  I'd welcome any feedback on these!

Demon's Crest

Thanks!  I agree, that wasn't the best copy, but it was the best one I could find that had the Konami logo removed from the upper left corner, but it does look much nicer with the one you provided.

I updated using the nicer artwork.  I was a little clumsy removing the Konami logo, but I think it's better overall.
