I bought the basic Everdrive because I too wanted to save money, & I'm quite happy with it. To many people, the major selling point of the Mega version is the save states. Some people really want that feature, but it wasn't important enough to me to pay a significant premium. |

I'd like to save some $$$, *BUT* I want to get the best that I can afford because this'll get many years of use. I also want it before my HD Retrovision component cable is done. I'm going to have a sweet setup!! --- End quote --- From what I've seen, Everdrives hold their value pretty well. If you decide you want to upgrade, you shouldn't have much trouble getting most of your money back if you want to sell. |

Well, after much thought, and soul searching......... I've decided to take the plunge and get the Mega EverDrive Deluxe Edition! I'm going for a clear case one with a red label and red anodized screws. It was just shipped out 10/26/2015, so I should have it by the end of the week!!! The save states and instantaneous loads are what pushed me over the edge, I think I'll be happy with this for a long time. |

Right now I can't decide if I want to go SNES or Genesis next. Either way, I have to decide between the more expensive version or the cheaper version. First world problems. :P |
