I've decided to take the plunge and get the Mega EverDrive Deluxe Edition!

I'm going for a clear case one with a red label and red anodized screws.

It was just shipped out 10/26/2015, so I should have it by the end of the week!!!

The save states and instantaneous loads are what pushed me over the edge, I think I'll be happy with this for a long time.

Congrats.  I'll probably do the same eventually.  Right now I can't decide if I want to go SNES or Genesis next.  Either way, I have to decide between the more expensive version or the cheaper version.  First world problems.  :P

My SD2SNES is excellent. I haven't tried the Everdrive, but I liked the fact that SD2 is able to play games that Everdrive cannot

If I was ever going to go SNES, I would go for the SD2SNES!!! You are right, it runs more games that the Everdrive one, and seems to have more potential for future compatibility.

The SD2SNES is definitely tempting since it plays a larger list of games, but I'm trying to decide if the extra games are worth double the asking price of a Super Everdrive, especially since I own about 80% of the enhancement chip games that I would even want to play.

The big thing for me is the list of enhancement chip games that still don't work, but MIGHT work in the future.  I wish I could see into the future to see if that will ever work out.

The Mega Everdrive showed up.
OMG is it cool. Once the card was full, my Genesis loaded everything I could throw at it very quickly.
I am duly impressed

I'm going to try to mess with sound playback next.

How it the world can I convert a standard CD (or .mp3 for that matter) into an 8bit 22Khz stern WAV file??
I use iTunes on my Mac, I'm a gamer; not a music technician.

Try magic.  If that doesn't work, find someone who knows what they are talking about.  :P
Madducky:
Magic?

Magic has only worked for me once in my life! My wife.

Either she's slumming it by being with me, or it's magic!

Short of that, I'll put that idea on the back burner for now. I'm really enjoying playing games on REAL hardware on my CRT, it's like a flashback to college but with less pot.  :P  :'(
