I hate to be that guy that asks "what's this worth?" but I'm going to do that today.

Neo Geo CD with original box and two controllers.  One controller is the original AES controller and the other is the one in the picture that I don't know anything about.  To me it looks like a custom arcade stick, but I have no idea.

It also includes Fatal Fury 3.

Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

Judging by past sales and current listings...

Around $100 - $125 for the console, two controllers, and Fatal Fury 3 game.

The joystick might actually be something special though.  Appears to be a MAS Systems Arcade Stick.  There was one that sold on eBay for $150 that had the same style and design as the one shown in the picture above.  However, that one did have a some additional SLOW and TURBO buttons on it, so perhaps the one in the pic is an older model of the same stick.

I may have been catching some "high" sales, but I have been trying to find a Neo Geo CD for a while and have NEVER seen one go below $180 for the console alone, and that was the cheapest I've seen.  They usually average around $200.  With one controller and no games. - that's for a North American version.  The Japanese version sells for considerably less.

Seems you're right.  I'm not very familiar with Neo Geo consoles, so I just did a basic completed listings search and most of the results were Japanese consoles. The American versions go for significantly more than that Japanese versions.  Sorry for the mixup.  :)

OG AES stick in decent condition is $40-50, mas stick is at least $100, fatal fury 3 is maybe $20? Hard to say, CD doesn't necessarily sell that often... And the console runs maybe $150?

Ballpark, I'd put that pile at $300-350 depending on the day.

Ooh shit, boxed even. Yeah maybe throw another fifty bucks onto my estimate.

Warning: Neo CD loading times are BRUTAL. They're every bit as bad as you've heard, if not worse. It's acceptable for a shmup, run n gun, or platformer... But pretty bad for most puzzle games and HORRID for fighters. Anything where you're switching backgrounds frequently, you'll want to throw it through a window.

Region of the Neo CD can be changed from Japan to US to Eur with a single jumper, BTW. You can even install a switch if you want. But unlike changing the region of an AES or MVS, that won't change the language of the game. CD games have only one version on them.

Yeah, he is asking 400. It already has the region switch installed which I should have mentioned before. But I want the CD unit with the smaller controllers. I've seen the Japanese systems with 2 controllers sell for under 150.  I would rather just go that route. I can't justify what he is asking especially after spending some cash on a Jag CD unit.

Thanks for the help everyone.
