The different types of USG

  I'm posting this new topic because I couldn't find any information related to this here at the forums, if there is a topic about this, sorry in advance.

The point is, am I the only one who found two different types of universal game cases?

I've bought two batches from ebay in the past, and the cases I received each time were slightly different.

The first difference is concerning the exterior plastic, which holds the cover in place. One batch had a "rugged" texture to the touch, while the other was smooth.

Second difference is regarding the material which composed the same exterior plastic. On the first batch, it looked thicker, giving some "convexity" to the spine, while the second batch had straight spines.

I'd like to read some opinions about this. I may upload a photo if needed.

There are actually a lot of different versions of the UGC.  They have changed over the years as they have tried to save money on the manufacturing process.   They have even changed enough that covers made for one size don't fit in the current size.  It's a small difference, but it's there.  If you are in the US, I would suggest buying from mediashelving.com so that you get a large box of the same kind.  That's what I do.
