In europe "illusion of gaia" was called "illusion of time". And I can't seem to find a cover for it. For all my other snes games, I've used the custom format (example: http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=8489)

Few additional deatails needed:

PAL style:
http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=7518

Or NTSC-U style:
http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?cover_id=7517

And can the front be the one in Big Box:
http://www.gamefaqs.com/snes/588383-illusion-of-gaia/images/box-261758

If US style cover (but with PAL title) with PAL Big Box style front is OK, I can combine few exsisting covers and have it ready quick.

I like the illusion of time cover better than the one we got in the states.

Why was the PAL box big? Was it like Earthbound with a guide? As far as I know, the only "weird" US SNES boxes were Earthbound, Super Game Boy (guide version), Miracle Piano, Lethal Enforcers, Final Fight Guy, RoboCop vs. The Terminator, Super Bomberman and Super Scope 6.

Personally, I prefer PAL-style because it's a pal cartridge.

For the front of the cover I like the normal one (never saw the big box one).

Example 1: http://static.giantbomb.com/uploads/original/8/82063/2189991-illusion_of_timeukfront.jpg
Example 2: https://willerysoup.files.wordpress.com/2013/08/illusionoftime.jpg

Example 1 is a very clear image, but the colors are wrong if you compare it to the picture of example 2.

Thanks in advance (and sorry for the late response).

Yep, but there was small box version as well.

As far as I know, the only "weird" US SNES boxes were Earthbound, Super Game Boy (guide version), Miracle Piano, Lethal Enforcers, Final Fight Guy, RoboCop vs. The Terminator, Super Bomberman and Super Scope 6.

Europe had at least Super Metroid, Mystic Quest and Illusion of Time big box versions as well.

I Think Europle got pretty much all RPGS in Bix Boxes.

I think the most expensive Pal Snes games is a Zelda Bigbox only released in Sweden i think.
We in Germany at least got FF Mystic quest, Illusion of time & Terranigma (Sequel  Pal exclusive), Secret of Evermore, Secret of Mana, Lufia II and Metroid. probably more but those i know on top of my head.

Base my work on material from TCP and various other places, using my own templates and working with Paint.net.

I'm trying to do this myself with a template I found on this site and have 2 questions.

1) I have to stretch the image for the front, otherwise there are is an empty space.

2) in the template (http://www.thecoverproject.net/forums/index.php?topic=1610.0 the one by shenske, because that's the only pal one), there is no layer for text. How do you do this and, more importantly, what font should I use?

Try to avoid that by building the picture heightwise or crop from the sides.
Oval planet looks really stupid. ;)

I do text in MS Paint and use Arial or Arial Bold.
On the Verticals the font is pretty much up to the creator as the Vertical is Custom cover anyway.
So s long as the text looks good pretty much anything goes.

I'm probably not seeing typing-errors. This game was distributed by Enix, but the "illusion of gaia"-covers on this side never have the "sold by Enix" on the bottom. So I'm wondering if I should remove that.

Preview looks good, I'll take better look when I get home.
