Ha! It's not an Einhander thread, I just wanted to make a thread with that kind of title because they make me laugh

This is kind of cool though. The small n3ds is coming to North America as well as this new Zelda n3ds xl: http://www.gamestop.com/nintendo-3ds/consoles/nintendo-new-3ds-xl-hyrule-gold-edition-gamestop-exclusive/124992?utm_source=linkshare&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=deeplink&cid=afl_10000087&affID=77777&sourceID=FKSJxY2VJAk-lo7ZRWKnZ7fWpaVLvkyTjA

Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

I've had some good laughs when I see those threads because I can always spot them so I wanted to have fun with the title :P

I'm always debating in my mind over the standard size vs XL. On one hand, the portability of the smaller system is convenient, but when it comes to playing, I enjoy the screen size of the XL. The interchangeable face plates for standard n3ds is kind of neat.

I wish I had known about that Gold Zelda XL before it sold out.  Sadly, it's just the XL green case they put out a few months back, only gold (and actually attached)...still.  Gonna have to wait a few years to get one cheap on craigslist now.

Oh please, there will be more.  There are always more with these chintzy special editions.

Happy to hear that the slim is coming here.  The XL is too damned clunky.  The slim is like the perfect size for my hands and pockets :D

I prefer the larger screen size of the XL, but the system as a whole is huge now that I have one of those "duraflex" sleeves over it (the clear rubbery stuff). If the small n3DS is coming to NA it'll be cool to see if they invest in making any new faceplates for it.

Can't say I'd buy one though; I'm not really big into the "buy all the handhelds" thing.

In other words, you are the exact opposite of Wiggy.  :P

Kind of  :P

If I had the money to just buy a smaller n3DS to see how it stacks up, I might. But college does things to prevent that  :P
Not entirely related, but I'd be more inclined to invest into the 3DS if they allowed SNES/GBA on virtual console already. It's not like the 3DS can't handle Earthbound.

Retro games are just more of the IN thing

For a very small few. While they are definitely popular at the moment, retro game sales still can't compete with call of duty, or other huge triple-a games. How many copies do you think Metal Gear Solid 5 has already sold? Even when you discount "casuals" and just look at the hardcore market, the next cookie cutter Call of Duty or assassins creed  is more than likely going to sell  10 times better than anything retro on the eShop, HD remake titles or anything sold  in  retro game stores.  So while there is high demand for the retro market, it would seem that the vast majority of consumers prefer what is new and fresh.

I thought earthbound was in the Nintendo store for the 3DS? Or is it only on the wii/U?

There are a lot of ports in the store. But it's hard for me to buy a digital title when I already own the cart.
What are you looking at? You think baby's don't like video games? THEN YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT BABIES!!

^ Earthbound and Earthbound Beginnings are only on the Wii U eShop.
