Ordered a western digital my book 4tb hard drive for the xbone. I almost went with something smaller, but 4tb seems to be the amount where you get the most memory for your dollar and I don't want to worry about running out again for a very long time. The nice thing about this hard drive is that it supposedly loads games faster than the stock 500gb of internal storage. This link influenced my purchase: http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/06/11/the-best-xbox-one-external-hard-drive |

Just make sure that you change your harddrive settings to automatically save/load/boot from the external, not the internal. That way you get that speed boost as well as the extra storage space. |

Nice, I'll check that out. Do you need to redownload all the content on the external hard drive to take advantage of the speed boost or can you just change the settings and it's instantly faster? |
| Megatron:
You need to transfer everything to it. Luckily, that is WAY faster than redownloading it. Just press the menu button over a title and select either copy or transfer to new HD, transferring will actually remove it from your internal HD saving you steps later on. And don't get me wrong, there is a boost. But it's nothing super fast. Like, maybe a few seconds faster than normal. |
