An addition: Maybe the upload function could be enhanced. (Batch-upload, no game selection)

I just tried to upload a Game Boy Cover for "Elevator Action".
The Game was not in the list of games - so i could not select it.
I tried it without selecting a game > error. :-/

Anyway it is available in my box.net now...

Question has been asked many times.  Just upload with the next name in the list. Only IF you are SURE it meets site standards.

But I agree.  Site upload function sucks.

Someone should make a google doc that could be stickied with links to every cover out there hosted on the site or not. That way we would have an easy metric of seeing what is out there and what isn't... maybe if someone was willing to help me.... pm me.

^^^ that seems like a MASSIVE undertaking.  Utterly massive.

One suggestion for someone with a large number of unhosted covers, would to be create a cover thread with llinks to all of their covers.

Or master list like the ones in M.O.C... if one would just bother to maintain it. ;)

Another suggestion is to be sure to include the name of the game with your post so that it can be found in search results.  I always include the name of the game with any cover or scan since the search engine cannot locate words that are within images.

THIS!!!

For real. It's literally impossible to find a cover if there aren't any words associated with the images posted.

Some covers get lost when people change their media box files around, and don't fix the links in the forum.

Or when the hosting site deletes them..... :-\
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

Mediafire signs unique link the file which does not change even if you move the file around, thus the link always works.
