As I asked on the last page. I need a good scan of the RE game because the LE edition doesn't have the barcode on the insert.

Current plans for v1.01

Fixes:
- Putting the BLUS & Number on their own layer.
- Adjusting the "Playstation Network" bar on the top right of the cover to work when it isn't a Playstation exclusive.
- Adding alternate ESRB back cover ratings for Online Capable games as well as some of the more common descriptors.
- Adding a layer for each region icon for the back (to aid the PAL users)

I'm moving this week so don't expect the update any time soon.

Alright v1.0.1 has been completed. I haven't done much but here's what I have done:

- BLUS & Numbers are on their own layer.
- Attempted to add a layer for the "PSN Network" logo when the game isn't exclusive to the PS3.
- Adobe Photoshop file created (.PSD)

Things that still need to be worked on for now:
- Adding additional ESRB logos & other territory logos
- Need to find a better quality PSN logo to replace the current "PSN Network" logos at the top of the front and back.

Again, the site is welcome to host these on TCP.net's site if an admin is capable.

Hey everyone, I've been lurking around here for some time now while working on my own covers.  I thought that the ps3 to Dvd thing was pretty cool and I had some idea's for a template of my own. So this is what I've got so far

That's a pretty cool template, actually. If I did the Bluray-to-DVD thing, I'd definitely go for this. As it stands, though, I've got way too many extra PS3 cases.

That's a pretty nice template you made, BoD. If I had any PS3 games, I'd gladly use this template.

I agree with twilightwolf77 the template looks really nice.
Personally i am keeping by PS3 games in their normal cases but the template looks nice nonetheless.

My only gripe is the same gripe I have with the original HD DVD designs - the 'swoop' takes up too much space on the cover. But that's just me and everything else looks great.

Thanks for giving your take on the idea! I'd love to see the full template.

Alright, I think I got it done for the most part. I don't know any good file hosting places, so I just threw it up on my DA account and you can download the template by clicking download on the left. But here's the link: http://clockworkelemental.deviantart.com/art/Redesigned-PS3-cover-DVD-style-116085905

Obviously Bird put the most effort into his template, that's the one I'll be using, personally.  ;D

Hey guys! I know it's been awhile (over a month) but I've been working on the following. Please give my your comments.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots Limited Edition:

Original Cover - PS2 Font:

http://www.thecoverproject.net/uploads/Sorwah.custom.ps3_custom_ps3dvd_metalgearsolid4gunsofthepatriotsle_ps2t.jpg

I like this one the best of all by far.  Basically a PS2 box but with the "2" replaced with a "3."  I think the Spider-man font is one of the worst things Sony could've done for the Playstation brand.

Not sure if everyone is going for this, but I'm trying to get uniformity among my Playstation games, and it seems that the PS2 was the most dominant Playstation console with the most games.  It's the reason so many PS1 games here were given cases fitting the PS2 template and not the other way around.

Certain series like Metal Gear and Silent Hill are also mostly on the PS2 with just one title on each of the other systems.  There are already PS2-format case designs for MGS1 and SH1.  It'd be nice if I could have all four MGSs stacked side-by-side all in the same format, and choosing the PS2 format to put them in would require the least work.

Thanks RedSwirl. Your comments are the main reason I wanted to do this. If Bird of Doom is alright with it I'd like to merge his template with mine and remove my other template. I.E. Have two designs: (1) My PS2 font themed and (2) His PS3 stylized theme.
