Hello! First, I wanted to say, I've greatly enjoyed your site for many years, but there are a few covers that have eluded me in that time (and my Photoshop skills are pretty lacking). As my collection is always growing, I'll be updating this post with the "master" list, crossing items out (and providing links) on this first post, and probably bumping with any major incoming games list.

Unfortunately, for the most part, on the Japanese titles I do not have box scans; I can provide for like two of them, and will once I get a chance, but the rest I do not presently have boxes for. I recognize this means that those titles will likely not get done, and that's fine; I totally get it. This is more of a "Hey, if you've got the art and the time, I'd really love to see it!" list. I am using Universal Game Cases for all these titles. In the case of the Japanese titles, I'm really hoping for something close to the actual product, no special bars or additions or anything like that; I'm  quite happy with the text being the same as well. On the N64 US titles, I'm hoping to get vertical-styled case art; I'd actually prefer the original "spine" color to the "all green" style others seem to like, but you know, I'm cool with either!

So, without further ado~

Hey Baphijmm,

Welcome to forums man (or lady! ha ha).....you have made a fine decision in signing up, as there are a lot of great people around here and always good stuff to talk about and what not, so check the other sections of the forums too.

As for your cover requests, I am a big SFC collector (well, all things Nintendo but SFC and SNES are my main passions) and have been making SFC covers for a while now, with all kinds of happy customers who have requested those elusive Japanese covers!

I have been on hiatus for a while lately but I will be coming back with a bang soon, and one of the things I have very much missed doing is what started all this for me!!......the SFC covers!

So check out the ones I have done for both myself and others so far in my thread (linked below this post in the sig area) and make sure you are cool with the close to retail style I go for with them, and if you are I will get to work on some of the ones you want here soon.

Just so you know, when scanning boxes, they need to ideally 600dpi to allow us cover makers the detail/resolution/quality to really be able to work with them and adapt them into a fine UGC cover, so if possible (as it can take a while) scan them in as close to that as you can get.

The rest, I will start looking for suitable scans of them in a few days and let you know how I get on.

Cheers and hopefully be having some done for you soon!

Actually, I'm really glad you posted; wasn't sure if anyone at all was doing Super Famicom designs. Those look excellent! And as luck would have it, between the first post and now I just netted five more games for that system, all of which (except Super R-Type, which I found on that thread!) look like they'll need artwork as well. The only one that will be coming with a box is Tenchi Souzou (Terranigma), which, again, I'll scan in once it arrives. EDIT: Looks like I was wrong; the game is coming with a manual, but NOT the box. Whoops.

I'll definitely scan at 600dpi; that's what I strive for anyway. The boxes in question aren't the cleanest-looking things, but if nothing else it should add to the repository.

Arseen:

Scan absolurely flat and straight for easier cleaning, moire removal would not hurt either, but if your scanner doesn't do it, don't do it afterwards.

Sounds good! and glad you found a cover you need already for one of the new ones!!........Super R-Type was requested of me a while ago so glad thats getting some further use too!

Tomorrow evening Ill have some real time to start looking for some high resolution scans across all the places I trawl through typically to find the artwork for SFC covers......maybe even start one as well.

Thank you on the scan quality too, youd be surprised how many people do not realise, think, bother or listen to the advice of scanning at such high levels of resolution.......and then moan and whine when their requests for covers made out of 72dpi based images are ignored/not made!  ;D

And as for the cleanliness and/condition of the boxes, dont worry about that at all......THAT is what we are here for!!! to make those ropey, busted, scratched and torn boxes BACK into gorgeously perfect covers once again! hopefully you will be surprised and amazed at how they can be cleaned up and made whole again.  :o

Cool, speak again soon.
