Been moved in a few months, crazy busy, this depresses me. I am considering some sort of track system to mount to wall, anyone mess with this before?

Thought of a system, but not done yet.

I feel your pain.  I moved in to my place over a year ago...90% of my collection is still in storage because I haven't quite figured out where it's going to go.  Sad.

I like how you have Snatcher turned just slightly just to show off that you have it.  :P
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

I just bought a really tall adjustable bookshelf. Now, my collection isn't quite that big, but it works well enough.

I'm currently looking at some media shelves that look good, I'm going to buy them soon, I'll tell you how good they are when I get them if you are looking around still.

Same situation.  I want them all to be the same so they match and the can be all lined up along the wall.  That means I want to buy them all at once just to make sure.  Unfortunately, I need about $600 worth.  I've also considered making my own, but honestly, I don't know how I could find the time without using vacaton time at work.  Buying seems to be the best option.

I got the Leslie Dame Cd-1000 The High Capacity Multimedia 64" shelf. I'll copy here the info from the Pick Up thread.

Each shelf compartment holds:
35 DVDs
17 ShadowFox cases and 1 DVD
20 UGCs
24-25 Saturn/Sega CD games (Can't check fully, don't have that many, 24 with space or 25 with none)

It can hold 1000 CDs total, or 420 DVDs,

The shelf has a center divider, and a middle nonadjustable shelf. So 4 quadrants.
________
I___I___I
I___I___I

Each quadrant holds can hold:
3 shelves of DVD/Saturn/UGC height cases with a lot of spare space above
2 Shelves of DVD and 1 shelf of 3DO long boxes.
5 Shelves of CD/DS height (Bottom Right in my photo)
2 CD/DS height and 2 DVD height (Top 2 shelves in my photo)
3 Shelves of DVD and 1 amiibo/ Atari Cart height shelf, not at the top or bottom though. (Bottom Left)

The Atari shelves can hold 2 stacks of 7 DVDs, or 4 stacks of 7 DS, if put on their side.

The holes for pegs stop at CD case height on the top and bottom, so the top or bottom shelf in each quadrant can't be shorter than a CD shelf.
You could probably drill more peg holes, or maybe even move the middle nonadjustable shelf to get 7 DVD shelves from top to bottom, Though the backing would be a problem, as it is wood, and sized for the quadrants.

The side base things are not more than an inch out.

A triple version also exists.

some versions (The one I have) the sides overhand to the top, and it can be used as another shelf of probably UGCs, dvds would probably fall over if not fully packed..

I'd say this shelf is solid, not cheep particle board, very sturdy, it barely wobbles, and probably the best cheep media shelf.

I got mine on eBay for $206.

Those track things are super easy to install and give you virtually unlimited modularity. They typically aren't all that pretty, but they're cheap and effective.

Depends if you attach them to the wall, which is ugly, or to the sides of the frame of your custom built thingamy, where they are night on invisible.

Took me a long time to find a good option for UGC's and DVD cases because of wasted space in most shelves.  Best I've found are Atlantic Elite Multimedia Storage Cabinets.  (Like $80 on best buy, but can probably find them cheaper elsewhere).  They have 7 shelves with 3 cubbies each which fit 11 UGC's comfortably (231 UGCs).  They are shallower than the UGC's / DVD cases, so it takes up very little space.  Look at the left side of this pic for examples of them:

The downside is that all of the shelves are fixed, so you can't adjust them for CD's.  But, I really only need DVD and UGC storage.  You'll need to mix these with something else.
