It's "new".  Different aspect ratios and all so it had to be made from scratch.  Also less grey more black, and some more color.

The front and back are passively the same, the spine is thicker.

I'm working on the retail N64 horizontal template.

They aren't the same at all.  *Goes to book case, pulls out two appropriate covers and compares the size*

The old ones are like a millimeter smaller...Holy crap I've been making these from scratch like an idiot.  Instead of this taking me hundreds of hours to redo, this might just take a good weekend.

Yeah, don't pull a Shenske and redo every single one ;)

Spent a couple of hours on this during my weekend.  Got a little over 10% of the project done.  If I can keep this pace up it shouldn't take me too long to get the entire list done.  I mostly worked on games I own but aren't currently cased.  Can't wait to throw WAY too much money down at one time and buy 300 cases.

Still working on them. I have been going back of forth with the factory on minor details in the sizes and measurements it sure it taking a long time to get all this ironed out.  ;)

Once I get a final drawing, I'll post an update with it. and then once I receive the samples I'll start the pre-order thread.

The one main thing I'm working on is getting both the N64 and SNES/SFC cases in at the same time, this will shave about $3,000 extra off my shipping/ freight, and brokerage fees. So yeah! Good times!

Am I reading this correctly that the SNES cases will be coming around the same time as the N64 cases?   As much as I want some N64 cases, I'm really really really wanting the SNES cases ASAP.

It's coming at the same time because they are coming from the same mould, the difference is in the interior

Just a small shout out!

We have FINALLY completed the new layout for the N64 cases! (and the SNES/SFC)

Later tonight I'll try and sit down and whip up a more in depth post about both of these new babies!

Once I get the samples in for both cases I will be sending them out to a FEW guys who will test the heck out of them, if all checks out we will be ready for production, and I will be taking people's money for the "pre-orders" at that time.

My goal is to take both on at the same time... but it's going to be a big nut to crack. If I cannot do both at the same time I'll be doing the N64 THEN the SNES/SFC a few months right after.

I know I have actually done the pre-orders for the past cases all differently and I'm still in the same boat. I need to come up with a Kickstarter like gauge that I can update here in TCP which will show people how far away I am from getting each mold and cases in. I will not take the money until I have enough guys (and gals) who are ready to commit to it. In the past about 70% of the people who pledge end up buying at the start. And there are a few other guys who will not order until I have the cases in hand (Which also is hard on my end).  So I will over shoot the cost a little bit knowing that not all will come through.  ;)

Once the N64 pledge thread is about 80% there I will open the SNES/SFC case Pledge thread.

And Honestly, right after these 2 are ready to hit the water my way I will be releasing the next 2 molds I am currently working on. :)

More to come (drawing photo) later tonight!

Exciting stuff.  My collection of SNES/N64 is smaller (much smaller, with N64) than my NES collection... but still exciting!  Will be putting in an order.

So here we go!  ;D

Don't worry about the BLUE color, this is just the selected CAD color they chose.

Any questions? Fire away!
