I picked up a screwdriver bit for my NES carts and am not happy with it. It's too big for the screw recess and wants to dig at the plastic before it will reach the screws. Does anyone have an alternate they can recommend?

Are you sure it's for NES?  There were similar screws on the back of Genesis carts that used a larger bit.  I keep both together, but I always use the smaller one for NES.  If you have a Genesis cart, see if it fits in it, and if so, you have the wrong bit.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

Yeah I have two different sets of large/small security bits and even the small ones will dig a little bit at the plastic on NES carts, but it's not enough that I'm bothered by it.

It was part of a NES repair/cleaning kit that I bought. I've been looking around the webs for other bits or screwdrivers and they all look remarkably like the ones I have. What I may do is break out the filing kit and just shave down the outside of the bit until it fits better.

I have two different video games screwdriver, the small one is the one for the nes.

Did you bought it new or it was used ?

Maybe the previous owner lost the original nes screwdriver and bought by mistake the seasoned and then sold it

It was new. I just don't think it was made too well. We'll see how it goes tomorrow when I can shave it down.
