Ok guys, I looking for opinions. I've been collecting quite a bit for the last 20 years of my life and really enjoy my collection. I like diving and swimming in my collection like Scrooge McDuck. I highly enjoy looking at it AND playing my games. But here is the thing, there are a lot of games I do not like to play that I have. Here is a little backstory before I ask my question. I graduated high school in '04. I've been a car enthusiast ever since I was a kid, (along with collecting games) More of a muscle car kind of guy. Had a '71 RS Camaro project, a '67 Couger XR7 project, a '71 Chevelle that actually ran but needed work, and a '71 Monte Carlo that I actually drove back and forth to high school in and thankfully out of all these cars I kept this one. It is now a project car that needs much TLC to get back on the road, running good, and looking good. But in 2003 they introduced the new 2004 GTO but I've never been able to get one. Since then better and more reliable models have come out. The 06 model has been my dream car ever since. Now on to my question. Like I said I love my collection. But here is the deal I don't enjoy playing around 3/4 of my games and stuff. And if I sold it all, I could most likely buy my dream car straight up. If you were me would you sell your stuff? |

I guess I don't understand what your asking. You have games you don't like and you have a car project you want to work on. Are you asking if you should sell games you don't like to fund your car ambitions? The answer is yes, sell them! I personally don't have any games I don't like in my collection. |

If you can use the cash, sell the games you don't like. For me personally, I rarely buy games that I don't like. The only time I would do it would be for something that is really collectable or notorious for being bad (Plumbers Don't Wear Ties for example). However, I've acquired many games I don't like by buying large game lots that included a lot of filler. As a collector, I don't plan to get rid of those games, but at the end of the day, it woudn't pain me to get rif of them to raise some cash. The only problem is that, if you are anything like me, the games that I don't care for are also not worth very much. I doubt I would raise much money at all if I just got rid of the games I didn't like. |

Ya what I'm saying, is, should I sell off my collection I don't enjoy PLAYING to actually buy the car I've dreamt about since I was 16ish. I've got reliable work vehicles, but I just don't enjoy them so much and they aren't the type of vehicle I would want to drive on a nice long trip. |

Like others said: Save the games enjoy and get rid of the rest. It might sting a bit... but driving your dream car will ease the pain. ;) |
