I agree on the drought of software for this generation. I was a Day-1 PS4 purchaser, and hardly had bought maybe 3 games in the first few months. There just wasn't anything available, and it seemed like most of what was available, I could either get on my PS3 or it was a HD version of a PS3 game. I think we're just now starting to get to the good stuff with this generation of consoles when it comes to solid variety and choices. If I could go back, I'd probably get a Wii U first, and then buy a PS4 when the Batman Edition came out, which would have jumped me in with a slew of good options for PS4. |

They are rehashed crap and are only bought because of the name. --- End quote --- Though it may not have as many games as either the PS4 or 360, quantity does not equal quality. Depending on the types of games you enjoy playing, the Wii U may have the best library available. I am curious to hear which games on the XBOX One and the PS4 that people consider great? It seems like there has been a drought of software all around this generation. --- End quote --- I can only speak for the Xbone but I have and enjoy: Witcher 3, Titan fall, Dying Light, Alien Isolation, MKX, Wolfenstien The New Order, Sunset Overdrive, Tomb Raider, Ori and the Blind Forest, D4, Shadow Warrior, Dragon Age Inquisition, Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls Edition There are more I bet but cant remember ff the top of my head. |

I also said that I'm not a fan of any of the new consoles. But if we must go further, the 360 had a plethora of GREAT games that blows the Wii and Wii u out of the water. But since we are talking about the xbox one. Let's go with this short list. The Witcher 3 Dragon Age Terraria and Minecraft Dying Light Forza The Evil Within Resident Evil Revelations 2 That list alone puts the Wii U to shame. And I'm pretty damn sure that Fallout 4 isn't coming out on th Wuu soooo. Ya point proven. As I said. It's all a matter of opinion. But if we are judging apples to apples, we can clearly see what had the better games. |

There are some good games on there for sure, but what is it that makes these games better? Perhaps it's because I don't understand your argument against the Mario and Zelda games. I can only assume that it's because they are "rehashes" but that argument holds absolutely no water if you're citing games like "The Witcher 3" and Resident Evil Revelations 2" which are sequels unto themselves and only iterate on basic gameplay instead of revolutionizing it. However, such games can still be well made and very fun, which the Mario and Zelda games are, so...? Speaking of which, I used Call of Duty as an example because it's a game that comes out every year and continues to sell well despite being a rehash. Most first person games suffer from this. I find it rather funny that you're hailing Fallout 4 as a deciding factor between which system has the better games since it's another sequel and in a lot of ways just more of the same. I suppose if Fallout 4 was exclusive to the Ouya, it would be the clear winner. So, how has your point been proven, exactly? If we are judging apples to apples, then we ought to be comparing games within the same genre. In that were the case, there might be a few games on the Wii U that take the crown. However, the Wii U definitely offers much less choice, and the ports that are available on it are... OK. I'm currently playing through Arkham Origins and it hard locks every once in a while. I'm not sure if that's just a problem with the game itself or the Wii U version. Either way, it's very annoying. |
