President of Nintendo Japan Passes
Megatron:
Admittedly, I never really liked the direction he took the company when he took over in the early 2000's. That said, I respect the hell out of him for his involvement with the Nintendo fan-base and his dedication to making the best choices and products that he believed were in the best interest for his company and gamers. He seemed to have dedicated his life to the medium, and the world of gaming owes him a sincere debt of gratitude. He will be missed.

This was really disheartening news. I am a big Nintendo fan and really liked the passion he had when he spoke to the fans. He came across really genuinely when he spoke. :-\

He will be missed.

It's sad that he died, but in all honesty, everything nintendo has came out with has been crap after the GameCube for home systems. The Wii and Wii U are just junky systems that are not living up to the name of Nintendo and are deffinitly not keeping up with the competition. Especially when it comes to playing with your friends over the net.
If they made the Wii/U to where I didn't have to flop around the room just to play a game I think I would like it better. But after I get off work, I am not in the mood to be pointing and moving around a controller to play. I just want to sit and chill.
On the flip side, I'm a huge fan of the handhelds. The 3D function I think is a little dumb but hey I can turn that off thankfully.
Let's hope whoever takes over keeps the company in a decent direction at least.

not sure what to say, words count for sh*t at these times.
sufficed to say, i respected his 1/1 communications with userbase, just not some of the decisions as a whole. (nintendo DID croak and DIE for me after the cube, above response says it WAY better than the torrid abuse i whizzed their way. RSI and dancing is a good way to make a psycho riddled with rhumatism. yes, just got back from work, last thing i need is MORE bodily activity. :( )
...
still, at least he stuck to his guns. RIP! :(
(have a wii and a newly acquired wiiu, i think i'm gonna puke... :'( )
