8-Bit Beer

So apparently this is a thing.

It's not too bad.  I'm a fan of your typical IPA, and this is right about average.  It would probably be a little better in a bottle, but the can and box sure do look cool.

That beers looks cool! I didn't even know it existed. I especially like the artwork. I would buy it if I actually liked beer. I don't drink or smoke. I never have and never will start. If there was some kind of video game soda, I would buy a can and try it as long as it's made with real sugar and not high fructose corn syrup. When you get used to the real stuff, it's hard to go back to the fake stuff.

Honestly, I was expecting a blockier looking can... it's too round and shiny for 8-bit!

I agree with you there. I've never drank, smoked or done any type of drugs and never will. There is a bar here (Columbus, OH) called 16 bit that has free arcade games. Went there once, but you have to buy a drink to get free games. As cool as it is, I really can't get too excited, as it's still a bar, which I have no interest in.

Now they do have those energy drinks with Mario, Pac-Man and others, like Duff (not beer) from Simpsons. Not much of a fan of energy drinks either. I love all types of non diet pop (soda to some of you), but I only drink it about once a week now.

Beer is so delicious. You're so missing out. Not to mention the HFCS is prolly worse for you than that little bit of ethanol

I'm a big pale ale guy.  But then I like just about anything except the super dark stuff.  Living near St. Louis, I drink a lot of AB stuff, but I also love getting micro brew.  The store that I bought the 8-Bit beer from has a wall of single bottles and they let you build your own six pack.  It's a nice way to try different stuff.
