Finally! A case to hold my PlayStation cartridges!  ;)

That depends on what he is trying to say, UGC holds cartriges and CD, both of them. so he is right by saying sega, Nintendo and playstarion. ;) ;D

Yes, this is true.  But I've always wondered, who in their right mind would put a disc in a UGC?

Yes I know, I try always to use the original case for CD or at least with the same dimensions

Am I the only one who would rather not have a single unified case for every cartridge?

You are not alone, for me
nes, snes, n64 can be in same dimension case.
gamecube, wii, wii u, ps2, ps3, xb360,  in same one
PlayStation 1 and dreamcast in jewel cases

And so on, it has to be the same case or at least something similar to the original, talking of the dimensions

You know, it's funny because there was at least one 32x game that came in a plastic case (Toughman Contest if I remember correctly).   That means it must have come in some type of one-off case that was specially made for it.  Seems kind of expensive, but a mold must have existed for it at sometime.  Or am I missing something?

Does anyone have that case?  I wouldn't mind seeing pictures of the inside of it next to a standard Genesis case.

***EDIT***

It looks like the games that came in cases were:
  NBA Jam
  NFL Quarterback Club
  WWF RAW
  WWF WrestleMania: The Arcade Game
I was reading back through this thread and realized all of these games you listed were published by Akklaim so maybe they had their own cases made?

Interesting, because Akklaim also did Mortal Kombat II which came in a cardboard box like the rest of the 32x games.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

The Acclaim cases do have their logo molded on them.

They're also apparently fragile as Hell, if my foolishly mad attempts at finding 8 unbroken ones is any indication.

I'd assume standard Genesis clamshell size which is 3200 pixels wide and 2044 high @ 300DPI.

or

10.67" by 6.81"

or

27,09 CM by 17,31CM

Actually... probably I would write it anal-retentive... but also analretentive and anal retentive... and anal. :D

...Shadowfox would ever recoup costs on a mold for 32x

I guarantee there is a way that 32x, regular Genesis, EA Genesis, Master System and Famicom can ALL fit PERFECTLY in the same case. There has to be. I just don't know what it is. So nothing to recoup.
