Gotcha. That would be quite a gamble to delve that far. I wasn't accounting for how many you had to purchase in the first place.

Though almost any place I've ever seen that has Sega clamshells for sale sell out pretty damn quick.
What are you looking at? You think baby's don't like video games? THEN YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT BABIES!!

I'd love red for my famicom games, but I'm going to be ordering from the first batch, so black it is for me.  Certainly wouldn't hold out for different colors.

Mine is here!!! Compared to my current cases holy crap it looks amazing. Shadowfox I don't know what you're talking about I barely notice the texture of the cover sleeve. These things could be ready to print NOW!

Few quick things before I do a full review with pics later.

1) SMS games fit but its not that nice of a fit ... I'd stick to SMS cases or keeping em loose, they're just a hair too big to be held in by the clips nicely.
2) SMS manuals won't fit without modification
3) UGC artwork doesn't fit (obviously but people may ask)
4) Clips rock

And that's all for now. Look for my full review hopefully this weekend! My pre-order of 50 will be in as soon as it can be!

That sounds AWESOME!

Shadowfox let me know when pre orders are ready, I'd definitely want around 50 cases.

TAFK, do you have any 32x games to test as well?  Would love to hear the verdict on them.

I just got my sample case in today. Absolutely love them, once again top notch work. I'll be picking up 100 of these when the time come!  ;D

They do not fit 32X games. I tried to put one and applied a little force but still won't fit (too wide and tall). Genesis, Famicom, SMS are just fine though

I know I helped out with your GB cases, I would LOVE to help with the Genisis cases too. Because I need quite a few! Lol. (Hint hint.  :P)

Also, yes, those look BADASS! I read over comments and I either missed it or it's not there, but are there gonna be different colors available? I ask because...

Dark red would look sweet for master system.
Blue would be awesome for Genisis.
Yellow/orange would be killer for 32X
Aaand...
A Purple psp style case would very cool for Game Gear.

I know that's a lot but I would totes buy em. Lol.

Once I know approximately how many cases I need to order for the initial run I could get multiple colors created. Each color requires me to order at least 5,000pcs. And these cases are very, very close to a $1 a piece. So just for Genisis, Master Syster, and 32X I'd be looking at $15,000. And if I'm Dropping $5,000 on 32X custom color I might as well pay the additional cost to get the right side of the case built to hold the 32X properly.

If I was confident I am going to sell say.... 25,000pcs I'd include the Red and Blue colors with the original black cases.

While I would LOVE to see 32x cases, I'm afraid that demand just won't be there.  I mean, even if everyone had a full set of cart based 32x games, they would still only need 36 cases each.  That means you need at least 139 customers with A FULL SET of cart bases 32x games to reach your minimum order of 5,000 cases.  You are going to have a hard time finding that many buyers.

With that said, I love what you are doing and I can't wait to get my hands on some Sega cases even if they don't fit 32x.  ;D
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

And surprisingly all 3 32x games I have found/acquired have all been boxed. Something about the 32x and people kept their boxes for the most part I feel.

I am one of the few that does have a complete 32x collection so anyone have an idea what it would take to modify for 32x?

I have some and got a sample case, sadly I had a crazy weekend so I wasn't able to post a review. Hopefully I'll have one out this week! I can post pics of a 32x game near the case but the way the cases are made with actual clips for the games I doubt any sort of mod would even be practical.

Ok I got mine in today. Alls I have to say is WOW!! These look amazing. Sure the sleeve isn't exactly like the original but it's still nice. Otherwise these are just like the original cases and there is nothing I would change.
Your original pictures serve it perfect justice.

The main downfall, (and it may just be mine) but it seems to pop open to easily. I need to compare it with the other Sega cases just to be sure but I thought I had to use a little more oomph to get it to open. Compared to original I was correct. Mine is not as hard to open. BUT it holds shut just fine so this is not discouraging. I'm extremely satisfied!

The differences are so minor that these are pretty much exact. Good job man!

So my Genesis case arrived today! And I gotta say... totally impressed!

I'll start by saying just like everyone else, the cases themselves are damn near perfect! Most of the differences are so minor they don't make much of a difference. I'll agree with palmer6strings that the case does seem to open a little too easy in comparison to an original (no big deal though really), but that was easily fixed by simply applying a little pressure on the clips inside the case so that they grip a little tighter when closed. As mentioned the textured sleeves don't quite match the originals which is easily apparent when placed side by side with an original. Overall, its close in similarity but the sleeves do have a stronger and slightly different texture. Other than the sleeves, the only other difference that really stood out for me was the little plastic tabs inside the cart slot (last picture), which hold the cart snug and don't allow any room for the cart to jiggle around (however slightly that was with the original cases).

And that's about it, all the other differences are pretty much so minor their not worth mentioning. Overall these are fantastic cases and definitely miles better than anything that has been offered up to this point. If the sleeves get corrected to an exact match to what the original cases have, it would be pretty hard to tell the difference thoroughly looking over both cases side by side. Fantastic work Shadowfox, these cases are totally awesome! ;)
