6 screws on bottom. (3 long screws (Red), 3 short screws (Blue))
Flip over to where front is facing you.
Remove top.
5 screws on this shield. (3 long screw (Red) 2 short screws (blue))
Remove shield. (Gently push towards left and lift up otherwise your home may collapse)
Remove wires from board (BE CAREFUL because if you're too rough, the government will come seize all your assets!)
Remove the 2 screw above and below the console port. (No worries here)
Lift the Motherboard out of the system and set it aside. (Keep an eye on it though because aliens really want this and may steal it when you aren't looking.)
As we can see, there is quite a bit of space over here on the left where you can add some cool mods or whatever. Buuuuttt, all that we are doing here is the fuse mod so we won't use this space.
While you're at it, remove that other shield too. Unfortunately, my camera didn't save this picture...
Carefully lift the disk reader off it's posts. (Unfortunately, for me, one of my posts was broken) there are 2 screws holding another shield down. Remove these and lift the shield and reader out of the way.
CAREFULLY!!! Camera didn't save this picture either...
Ok now take your base and let's mark where we will put our fuse holder.
I'm gonna put mine right here.
I pre drilled with an 1/8th inch bit then drilled it out again with a 1/2 inch bit. Fits like a charm.
Now take that bitch and let's clean er up in the sink. (Hopefully I don't need to add a picture to show you how to do that... Well why the hell not)
While the shell is drying, let's get to soldering. Let's go ahead and start by removing the old fuse. First you... What? I didn't tell you to plug in and start heating up your iron? Who the hell do you think I am? Do I have to hold your hand like you mother or something?
Well I guess this is a tutorial... Anyway heat that iron and let's remove the fuse. This is the fuse. (marked in yellow.)
Ok now let's work on those wires. I make mine look like this and solder them up. Don't want any loose connections.
Now let's solder them to the board like this.
Guess what?! The hard part is over!! Pat yourself one the back my friend!
Not that big of a pat... Get over yourself because we ain't done yet.
Place the shield and cd drive back in and screw it down.
Place in the motherboard shield and motherboard and screw the 2 screws in around the port. Then plug wires back in.
Now to put the top shield on, slide the wires through the port hole and place it back on and screw it down. It should look like this.
Put in your fuse holder and tighten it down. Make sure you get that shit straight! Nobody likes a crooked fuse holder!
Plug your 2 female ends to the male ends of the fuse holder. (Coughslutcough)
Now you should be good to put on the top shell and your done!
(In theory you should be able to plug in and play. It's not my fault if you fucked up your console and I take no responsibility if you do)
You have now graduated Palmer's school of above average students!
Round of applause!!
No but seriously, this is to learn and try to have fun doing so. Hope this little guide I made helps some peoples out.

Is the Mtn Due mandatory, can I substitute it for the Blue one?
