Other than collecting games, I'm sure a few of you also sometimes enjoy playing games  ;D

Once a year, a few of my friends and I rent a cottage to relax and drink. I also started to bring some old video games to bring back old memories.
Luckily, the cottage has an old CRT tv, so this year, we enjoyed a few super scope games (it was the first use of a super scope for most people!)

We also had a blast at playing 4-player mode Super Bomberman, and completely finished Super Mario World with *96  8)

Next year: N64!

That does sound awesome.  :o

Not only is that a CRT, but it's a good quality CRT.  Even better.  ;D
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

That would be awesome. I would love to do the same. And yes actually playing the games rather than collecting them would be refreshing.

It would be cool to get a TCP get together organized.  However, it's so impractical considering how spread out across the entire globe we are.

My local facebook retro gamer group has get togethers about six times a year, and they are a lot of fun.  I get to talk games with other people and make trades.  We also have high score games with prizes donated by local game stores.  It's a good time.

For sure! But like Arseen's Mario Kart party, travel budget will be a deal breaker for most people  :-\

Its been over 90 quite a few days this past week  :)
People always think its really cold and snows all the time. If it does snow our weather fluctuates so much that most of the time it will completely melt by the next day. Its quite gorgeous here and its sunny just about everyday.

You don't seem to understand. I've never even seen snow. If it gets cold enough to snow, that's REALLY cold.
