A few solid pickups for today.  Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is sort of pointless since I have GT5, but I'm a GT nut and these two were the only ones I was missing other than the Japanese exclusives which I still want to get someday.

Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

Disappointed.  :-[

It turns out that the black label Castlevania I bought had a Greatest Hits disc in it.  The place I bought it from had both a black label and a GH case, so I figured they swaped the discs between the two.  I called them, but both of their discs were GH.  They said that would give me my money back which is good customer service on their part, but I really wanted the game and the black label case, cover and manual were in such good condition, that I think I'll just keep them.

But if anyone has a black label disc and is looking for a GH disc, I would happily swap with them.

Picked this up from a coworker for 20 bucks.
Game Gear carrying case, Game Gear, some sort of attachment, and power pak.

also came with some games, a few are JP region.

and some manuals

All this for $20. I'm most likely going to resell this, because I have no real interest in the Game Gear.

I'm feeling lazy, so what is Juhannus?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midsummer#Finland, see especially the second last paragraph of Finnish section.

In short summer solstice holiday when Finns REALLY drink... and as that often happens at lake side cottages:

Read this news article carefully, and smirk if you understand it.

Translation for non-Finnish speakers:

Levels of Dihydrogen-monoxside still on rise in Saimaa.

Along with heavy metals and sulfides massive ammounts of Dihydrogen-monoxside is leaking to nature from the Talvivaara quarry. Internationally this compound is often shortened DHMO.

If inhaled this compound is extremely dangerous and kills many Finns per year.

Dihydrogen-monoxside has proven espesially dangerous if people are same time exposed to slightly polaric hydrocarbon based solvent (C2H5OH), which is plentyfully found from all Finnish lake areas especially during the warmer times of year.

This year levels of Dihydrogen-monoxside seem to exceed all previous levels in the waters of Vuoksi, especially around the Saimaa area. Finnish Newscenter (STT) reported on thursday that the levels are so high that it limits the usage of lakeside saunas and summer cottages in low laying areas.

Besides damaging human respiratory system Dihydrogen-monoxside also damages buildings.

The reporter considers the situation serious. It has long been known that Dihydrogen-monoxside is only good under the boats.

So............I had a guy who literally FOUND this game in his shop a while ago and checked around what was paid to buy it in, and found that it was not very much.

I was insatiably interested and we have literally spent the last 6 months talking about it and negotiating its price. lol.

Well, today was FINALLY the day that we came to an agreement (probably with him just getting sick to death of me!  ;D ) on =

Looking to flip it as I already have my SFC version that fits with every other Megaman game I have the SFC versions for (all apart from Megaman and Bass)......so want to fund the buying of stuff I actually want.

Whos serious? I will happily ship wherever in the world and will split the cost of shipping but I will ONLY send it via a method that gives me proof of delivery, and if its outside of the UK (which I assume it will be, lol) then it will be tracked and signed for.......typically costing around £8/$12 with very careful and diligent packing......so £4/$6 for whoever wants it.

Go!!!  ;D
