I built one recently. It's not pretty, but I don't have access to a laser cutter or a 3D printer. I'm just happy the damn thing works.

Read this thread. It's packed with helpful information.

Ya I wish I could get that nice one myself. I could make one but don't have the patience lol.
Most if my childhood I was playing NES, Game Boy and Game Gear.
What are you looking at? You think baby's don't like video games? THEN YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT BABIES!!

I've always been a fan of this Consolized Game Gear project.

Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

I would get some sonic stickers and decal the heck out of it.

My sister has a silhouette machine. It's like a printer, but it cuts shapes out of paper. I might have her cut out a sega logo and/or the three oval game gear logo for me and stick those on.

Also, I don't have any game gear sonic games :P I tried them through sonic adventure dx, but the only one I liked was tail's adventure.

The purchase link in Rx_79's topic links to a deadend.  But, I did happen to find another TV-out / controller-in board: http://www.otakus-store.net/en/modding-kits/14-game-gear-tv-modding-kit-controller-connector.html

It seems like a good alternative to the Tim Worthington offering.  If I manage to mod the thing alright after it arrives, I'll post pics.

Oh, this whole topic tempts me so much. I may have to pull the trigger and do this mod myself. Granted I wouldn't be able to start it until after Christmas  :D
