Rumours of Final Fantasy VII coming to PS4

There are now rumors that this isn't going to be EXACTLY the same game...so it's possible they will incorporate plot elements from the spinoffs, or go in new directions altogether.  I can't imagine they would change THAT much, but they may streamline some things to make the game seem less repetitive at times, perhaps removing the need for grinding, etc.

...but I swear to God, if they remove Aeris' death *spoilers for a 20 year old game* I am going to flip my shit.  Too many people have a hard on for Aeris and her death was "too much"...forget them.  Her death was amazing and needs to be kept in.

And for anyone who brings up phoenix downs...PDs revive KO status, NOT death.

Lol aerith revival mission dlc confirmed!   The mission starts after you see her ghost spirit in the church after reentering midgar.

Of course I'm kidding, but I honestly wouldn't be surprised if something similar were to happen.

From what I've heard over the years, you were meant to be able to revive her originally but they ran out of time to implement that. However, I think it works much better as a plot point for her to stay dead.

I hope they don't skip out on the blood this time...

That would be cool as a optional sidequest, as then people can choose wether to revive her or not.

What sick bastard would chose NOT to revive her!?  That's like asking if we could stop Old Yeller from being shot, or Bambi's mom.  Half the fun is knowing there is NOTHING you can do about it.

I'm super glad we're getting 7. Hopefully one day they do 6. I never got the hype for the game but as I've grown older I can see how amazing it really is.

But if they went as far to revive Aerith, they may as well make Sephiroth an obtainable character. I mean I had him on the original PS1 so why not.

And honestly, I would rather play the SNES version of 7 that they actually started on instead of a remastered one. To bad they didn't make it far enough for it to actually be playable... I don't even think that there is a partial rom out there is there?

This. VI is probably my favorite Final Fantasy (probably because it was my first).

Anyways, there is going to be some severe changes to elements of the remake, or some stuff is going to come across as just silly.

I believe they joked about the cross dressing, basically confirming it's still in.

Just pre-ordered my copy of FF7 (even though I don't own a PS4 yet  ). Hopefully the PS4 will be backwards compatible since Microsoft announced it was going down that route.
