Nintendo @ E3
kzbolin:
My thoughts exactly..excited about Star Fox and Mario Maker, but it won't last me till the new Zelda...I need more!
Thom Grayson:
It feels like Nintendo gave us what we wanted.... just not in the way we wanted.
Want a new Zelda? Have a co-op puzzle game!
Want a new Metroid? Have a multi-player arena game!
Want a new Animal Crossing? Have a board game... don't worry guys, it will support Amiibo!
The documentary bits for the origin of Star Fox also looked very familiar. Not the footage perhaps, but the story behind it. The interview attached to Yoshi's Woolly World is something I think I've seen in Game Informer or something. Either way, neither seemed like the kind of thing you'd show at E3.
Xenoblade Chronicles X though, looked really cool. The kind of thing you could show someone, and they'd be like 'there's NO WAY that's a Wii U game!' Nintendo needed more games like that. What they needed less of? Puppets.

It feels like Nintendo gave us the usual teasing, stone faced lying, pompous, arrogant bitch slap to the face.... just they way we like it and have become accustomed too.

Hope you dont mind but I fixed the first line of your post there to make it more akin to what happened. ;D
Nintendo fans are like the beaten partner in an abusive relationship...........we continually get treated like shit, neglected and sucker punched when we least expect it........but the occasional glimpses of redeeming qualities makes us forget all that and profess to those that ask why we put up with it "Because I love them!".
Although, after yesterday's abuse..........I might now have acquired the strength for a divorce. >:(

I dont know man.........never felt THIS abused and alone............should have stayed with my "old partner" and now I genuinely feel like going back to them.
(Metaphor equals = hadnt been current gen with Nintendo since 1998, so should have stayed with and focussed on era's and games I know were done right, and only get into modern stuff once it has died a death and become cheaper).
