Where do I find the art to use to make custom cases?
(1/1)
mooseeatsbear:
I've got templates up and ready for cassette tape cases to hold GB(C/A) games, but I can't for the life of me find out where in the heck I can find the scans for any of these games that already have cases. When I go to the raw scans list, it looks like it hasn't been updated for three years, at least for GBA. But some games that have cases on the site for DS cases don't have art scanned and up. Is there a way I can get some raw scans, or should I work from the other cover arts that have been uploaded to make my new ones?
Arseen:
Yeah raw section is offline due to space and misuse.

You can find or request raws on the boards, or like you said use exsisting covers.

Check the forums also, both for premade covers and raw scans. I have a bunch of original GB boxes I can scan if need be too. I will provide a list later today.

Im doing the same thing with GB games........bought a load of cassette tapes the other day for this! and am just piecing the art together myself from all over (simple google image search, got to "search tools" and then change the "size" to a minimum of 1600 by 1200 should bring up loads of art).

I just looked at the thread for the guy who originally had the idea (as far as I can tell at least on here) and have been re-working them for myself.

Here is my first re-making of the ones I want............I just cant stand not having info on the back, so brought in text, images and the game logo - and also used a much better image for the cover and spine as well.

Here is his mediafire link with all the cassette covers he has made =
