My Dreamcast turns on and the disc spins. But the picture doesn't come on. No sound, no picture.

This hasn't happened before. I have all my consoles attached to a switch box. And I have tried placing the AV cables in different spots and none of them work. My other consoles do work as of now, just the Dreamcast.

I know it's a stupid question, but this has nothing to do with the Power right? The disc spins, the light turns on. Is this simply the AV Cable dying out? nothing to do with system most likely?

Have you tried plugging it directly to the tv?

Also, I've had similar troubles with my dreamcast...I've had to fiddle around with the av plug on the back of the system and find a "sweet spot" of sorts.

Try a new 3rd party cable off Amazon. If that still doesn't work, you likely have a problem with your console.

Now the Dreamcast is coming on, but the disc has problems spinnin and it says to put in a disc. Weird. But even when it was spinning it still told me to insert a disc.
