I want to light my printer on fire.

So I decided to go ahead and load my Inkjet printer with brand new color and black ink. I have printed 3 box arts (they look amazing) but my printer just drinks the color ink. the black hasn't budged at all.
Is this just a normal thing with printers? It is a Hp Envy 120.

I seriously do want to throw this at oncoming traffic.

Start printing SNES covers. That'll take care of the black for ya ;)

Inkjet printers suck down ink. If your printer is was intended for document printing with the occasional full color page, then its tanks are probably designed with that in mind (I.e. It'll go through the color tanks far faster than black, if it was designed as a document printer).

I usually change the color ink around 3-4 times before changing the black ink.

Me too as the black ink cartridge is same size as color cartridges combined.
Also currently not printing SNES covers.

I think I kinda figured it out. (but no solution) I compared the printed art to the official art. its way darker. and on tomb raider it printed the red as black.

But I think that my printer just uses the color ink to make the fake black. I am really really confused as to what is going on with it.
