Ico and Katamari are worth looking into though so I'll check them out.

The SMT persona 3 and 4 should be quite cheap to buy new but, you may have trouble finding Fatal Frame series for a cheap price.
Umbra:
Yeah I saw Fatal Frame 1 running for around 30-40$. That's about my price limit for a single game.

Also just checked the price for the SMT games on amazon. Interesting to think that Devil Summoner sells for $30 new on amazon, but my local games shop wants $40 used. I'm not quite sure where they're getting their pricing, but it hasn't matched the rest of the market yet (they usually fluctuate their prices with the current trends).

Maybe it's just me, but since I don't know much about SMT; what happened to Persona 1 and 2?
Nacho3:
Persona 1 & 2 were PS1 and both are pretty pricey. But, I believe they are PS1 classics to download digitally (I know I bought one of them really cheap, just don't remember which one or if the other is also available)
ZX the Hedgehog:
If you're a fighting game fan, the ports of Neo-Geo Battle Colliseum & Marvel vs. Capcom 2 are both pretty good. For the MK series, you have MK Deadly Alliance, MK Deception, MK Shaolin Monks, & MK Armageddon. I've never played them, but I've heard they're fun.
Umbra:
The games shop I'm at has the MK PS2 box set, and I think Persona 3 FES is on amazon for like $15 new. I guess they're still being published or something...? I know that Square still publishes a few games for PS2 and PS1 so I suppose it's not too out of the question.

Also, another question. Any opinions on Star Ocean: Till the End of Time? Never played Star Ocean for obvious reasons (not in the states, haven't emulated), but it's pretty cheap on ebay right now.
