Types of paper?

Umbra:

I'm not sure if this has been asked before, but has anyone had experience with foil? To clarify, I suppose I'm asking if anyone knows anything about some form of foil/shiny paper that's available. I'm looking at recreating some box art for games I have that originally came printed on a foil paper. Think black-label Kingdom Hearts games, or Metroid Prime 2.

This is the paper I use, it's like very thin photo paper.  The color is amazing.  I use it in genesis cases though.  Probably won't be big enough for UGC's.

You could also look for red river semi gloss paper.  I think it's called zebra but I don't remember.

Umbra:

Is this paper extremely shiny to the point where it shines through the sleeve? I'm trying to replicate a foil kind of look.

I'll keep that paper in mind though.

I posted to the wrong topic, my bad.  Though I don't think you can just print to foil paper, I imagine a special technique is required to get that effect

You can get foil papers, and print on them with a regular ink jet, BUT, the colours do not print out so vivid.  I had some cd labels in gold/silver foil from a sample pack.  They do look quite fun/nice when printed, but slightly washed out. (Although it was a long time ago, and with my old printer - it is probably better now)

This isn't the one I used, but just an example.
