--- Quote from: Blumpkin on May 28, 2015, 08:41:50 PM ---I'll always prefer CD jewel cases if I have the original manuals and inserts. They take up less room and look good enough on the shelf to me. But I haven't been able to print replacement inserts in a way that they look satisfactory in a jewel case, but printed DVD covers look fine. The third option would be CD poly cases, which I haven't experimented with yet. --- End quote --- For my jewel case inserts, I find that the 50 lb. premium matte paper works very well. It's important to score a line before you fold the spines in. Otherwise the crease never looks good. Oh and the poly case is a very tempting thought. I love the look. Very similar to jewel cases except that there is a little more room on the spine for artwork. Also, you have uniform thickness despite the number of discs in the game. But I still have the problem of finding artwork for approx 150 games. I know most of the more popular ones are done, but many are still missing........ I need to get to scanning a lot of my games. |

I don't collect PS1 anymore, but when I did, I preferred jewel cases. They take up little space and new replacement cases are easy enough to find. If you go the dvd case route that could end up being a lot of cover making and printing if you grow a sizeable collection. |

I don't know the name of it, but it was a Japanese dating sim that used the extra discs to have the girls call you by your actual name. At least that's what I learned on the PS1 episode of Game Sack. 8) --- End quote --- I believe the game you are talking about is Tokimeki Memorial 2, if anyone was curious. I was super impressed when they actually said my name in game. I was not so impressed when I had to change discs 20 minutes into the game. |
