Is there any difference between the Hagane Japan (NTSC-J) and NA (NTSC) versions?
I am asking because all the in game screenshots I see have Japanese characters at the top right.

At the start of the game there's a screen with Japanese, on the USA game it has subtitles, the screen text itself is not translated. also the in between chapter names are translated. If I recall correctly the ending has no text what so ever. It very import friendly  ;)

I decided to get the Japan version and just received it :) I've put the board in a NA shell and it work perfectly (I'm still not decided on if I will cut the tabs on my SNES). Even the HAGANE title happears in latin characters. We don't have Japanese characters in our games, I wasn't expecting that much non Japanese content.

Now I'm searching for a nice Hagane label and manual scan. I couldn't find these so I'm guessing these are not done already. If anybody has those, please post  :D

Probably repro, but:

I think that Hagane Label maybe a Repro label due ESRB rating on the label. I am not sure what the Retail Hagane label looks like.

I'd assume this is genuine, so the repro is quite spot on:

It says repro right on that label. I think this one is real though.:

I had no idea it was rare. No idea where I got it, but it was back in the 90s.
